It's the old site, circa 2000-2001
The old forum was EzBoard based, not colourful at all, complete with 2-3 annoying pop-ups on each refresh. I remember being pretty pissed off each time I visited this forum with dial-up connection, took me few hours to look through all the new threads (back then I was online couple of times per week) ...

Yes. Regarding the site itself, I found a copy of the whole thing somewhere as well, incredibly enough. The March 2000 version is about 60 MB, with 27 MB of.... videos!!!! I wonder of what!?

Before that, the pages were hosted on http://netlife.fi/stratovarius . If anyone has cached copies of those sites, please let me know for our stratohistory project [ No, wayback machine has nothing.. ]

In the "Episode" booklet, the netlife address was even there already. That was 1996. So there must have been a web server and pages that it served.

Oldest file in my own panix web-accessible filesystem has the timestamp Apr 25 1995.... tempus fugit. Tolkki sent that infamous fax to me a few months later (fax offering me too much money). When i left for Helsinki in December 1995, I had then been at Tavastia actually, once, playing some Jazz gig a few years earlier. And I had been in Helsinki, twice. One day each time.

But at that time, in December 1995 when Tolkki picked me up from the airport and I greeted him with "vedä virtahevon vittu päähän yli", little anything did I know about anything. Like Lapin Kulta, Karhu, Koskenkorva, Salmiakkikoskenkorva, Timo, Timo, Jari and Jörg, the Ruttopuisto, Tero T, Finnvox, Oksala (who still owes me 50 euro) and Karmila, spring in Helsinki, all the lovely crazy kind wonderful finns, Vappu, Summer, partitiivi, karuselli restaurant, taking the tram, mape, sami jylhä, drying your dishes in a cupboard, Jukka's boat, sökö's genius videos, punavuoren itsepalvelupesula, SAUNA!!, django, isoroba<sigh>, masse (cafe maestro), soda (RIP), lost and found, drinking coffee like a man, gas and the him people, rehearsing under a police station, sidewalk vomit dodging on saturday mornings, lepakko(RIP), vodka with vodka, summer festivals with vomiting elks, shirts with vomiting elks, many late and wet nights with jörg solving the world's problems before we try to solve our own, living for months in Kallio, Tuska Festivaali, Hästfittan, the dread, the hangovers, the joy, the extasy, the hope, the love, Corner Bar, On The Rocks, Mount Everest, compassion, hangovers, more music, the jukkamobile, dark clouds, but always the hope.

Being a Google freak as I am, I ran across some old pages of the ezBoard-mid2001, I think_and like an idiot I did not save them. The topic question was,"Who would you most like to kiss?" So, evidently, people were posting some silly Spam topics then! And, no, it was not me! I did not even hear of the StratoForum until early 2002 after it moved to its present site!
