It must be a cover, 'cos it's not a common name. We will see.

I don't think so, A-ha also had a song titled 'Hunting High And Low' in 1985, so who stealed whom?. Looking at that tracklist, does it also mean that FC recorded 'Mother Earth' by Within Temptation?

In any case, Freedom Call is a good band---they could very respectfully cover Stratovarius, IMHO!

Electric Eye stole the words right out of my mou... uhh, keyboard

A-Ha's "Hunting High and Low" is one of my favorites.... sigh.
Anyhow, so we'll just have to see! Or else someone could just e-mail the band and ask!

Official Freedom Call webpage published three pieces of songs from their forthcoming album. All are prety good, among them is Hunting High And Low and it is not Stratovarius cover. It's their new song.

"stealing" names of songs is nothing new.....
as a example
Iron Maiden: Killers (1981)
Motorhead: Killers ( 2004)
Iron Maiden : Brave New World ( 2000)
Motorhead : Brave New World ( 2002)
And many others

I must admit that Freedom Calls HHAL sounds a little bit like the one from Infinite..expecially somewhere in the chorus. Listen carefully and you will notice some similarities.

it's an illusion caused by the same lyrics, so you subconsciously hear the similarity.

Hehe, cool song
and dispite, the name, typical structure, message of the song, it's 'completly' different. Though on the chorus you still expect it to be Stratovarius like
Oh, and btw Freedom Call also has the song Eyes Of The World, just like Strato

Can't wait to get that new Freedom Call album. And I'm even more eager to see them live at Stockholm at the end of next month

And don´t forget this:
Saxon: Destiny (1988) with one song called S.O.S. + a song named Ride Like the Wind
Stratovarius: Destiny (1998) with one song called S.O.S.
Stratovarius: Elements pt.2 Asian versions with Ride Like the Wind
As I think the Freedom Call´s Hunting High and Low really sounds a bit like Stratos, but it´s not a cover. Maybe there is some honour to Strato though?

that on the new Album "The Circle of Life" is a song called
Hunting high and low!!!
so it´s a Strato-cover or did they only steal the name of the song?

Hmmm...Now I have the song on My Computer...
And it's NOT a Strato-cover...!!!

I must admit that most newer melodic metal bands have quite a tendency to sound like a Helloween/Strato copy...
