Shurik, who could watch the original Star Trek without knowing Scotty--he was intregal/very important to that show. A good man I'm very sure.
He got those guys out of hot water many times by "beaming them up" in the nick of time! I'd say their lives depended on Mr. Scott, wouldn't you say?

But what memories and legacy he left to that child! Was it the little girl that was sitting on his lap when they dedicated the star last year? I thought it was his granddaughter.
