I now own a crossbow.

I bought it in Pisa a few days ago for 23 euros (about £18) from some touristy stall. It's a real replica medieval style crossbow that fires a 10cm iron tipped bolt. God alone knows why I thought it would be a good idea to try and get it through customs. I was shitting it at the airport I can tell you, when I saw the sign that told me it was forbidden to carry weapons and/or ammunition in your luggage. Still, it rocks. I've been firing biros out of it all day long.

Crossbows are cool. Is it a large crossbow, or is it the kind that can fold up and be hidden? I love weaponry historical and current. I have a set of Samurai swords, razor sharp. They are beautifully crafted and I actually know how to use them. I almost had to last year when I heard screams coming from outside my apartment, looked out and saw a pit-bull mauling a middle aged woman who was jogging. I had to do something, nobody else was helping and there were little kids outside as well. The sword is the only thing I can legally take out of the house so I grabbed the katana. Fortunatly, I was able to just hit the dog over the head with the hilt and he let the woman go. I love animals and would have hated to hurt or kill the dog. He tore that womans arm up bad though. I ended up driving her to the hospital.

I also have a nice replica of a medeval European knights sword as well as two swords from Spain that my Grandfather gave me out of his collection. One is the kind they use in bull fighting. The swords are all for decoration though. The are all mounted on the wall in my living room.

For those foolish enough to break into my place, I have a stainless steel Sig-Sauer .45 under the bed.

Weapons are cool, but I like my guitar collection better

Dad made me a "crossbow", when I was younger. It actually worked and I had a great time!
