I think it is overhyped. Every year there is a new Flu to be concerned with.
But, the price of chicken, eggs&turkeys have went down considerably since this scare&I have taken advantage of it! I have stocked my freezer with several chickens, and 2 turkeys for Thanksgiving&XMas. I cooked one today for the weekend! :) I have 4 dozen eggs in refrigerator, and I froze another 3.(Just break them, freeze them in icecube trays then, bag them). Thaw them to use in cakes.
Back to the Flu: I will do my best to make sure my son&I follow good health habits&if we do get the flu, just take care of it as quick as possible.
I worry about it-Sure-but, you cannot stop living in the world completely out of worry. Unless it is a proven reason to get scared.

Yeah, I think that so. As a future bacteriologist, I should be worried, but I don't care. Maybe it would become a pandemic disease, maybe is just fear.

I agree with You here BEG, every year there is a new shit, and it always go away....I don't even believe that this is true. It might just be a way of Bush getting off some attention after 2000 soldiers are down.....Just like the Anthrax and that thing that got lost at the begining of this year...

The funny thing is that you absolutely don't have to be concerned if you just fry/bake/cook it well enough.

Well, I still have turkey for tomorrow, then I think I'll bake a chicken Monday.
This Scare is not going to stop my fixing poultry in any way, shape or form! Maybe I'll even buy some ducks! =P

I do like turkey any time of year.

I hope that flu don't happen, though.

I hope it is just another example of the media blowing something out of proportion in order to create a story. It still hasn't mutated into a human to human thing.

Yes, here it's quite the same... The biggest german "newspaper" (it's really not worth the name, but they have the largest sales figures of all :? ) states at least twice a year, that there's a new "killer-virus" around

It won't take long until the nect fanatic religious group digs a hole and stays there for a year coz they believe it's doomsday. An uncle of a friend of mine bought ravioli-tins for a year as the second gulf-war broke out in 1990... Two years later he and his family had to eat ravioli every day for a year because the stuff went bad

Might be he already digged himself in. Perhaps somebody should look for him?
