A hillarious horror/comedy
AMEN!! I've had that movie on videotape for many years&it always made me laugh--my son likes it, too. Bruce Campbell is a good actor in both comedy&drama.
I loved his speech to the midieval people in the beginning which strated "Listen you primitive screwheads!"

Evil Dead2 is good, too--especially where his severed hand gets a life of it's own!

That series, IMO, was more dark comedy than horror, because the effects are so intentionally exaggerated.

Sam Raimi usually does a great directing/producing job on the projects he oversees. :D

I hope you get to see all of it, Lilith, because IMO, LOTR3 is one of the best movies ever made in terms of plot, special effects&the acting itself.
Was it the Uncut version where about 30 minutes of extra footage is added?

yes, I know!!!!! I guess I'll try to rent it today...I don't care, I'm gonna watch it alone, but I want to watch it!!!!!!!!!!!

But nope, it wasn't the extended version...I guess I'll rent that one, though I've seen sdome fragments of extended versions of lord of the rings 1 and 2 and I didn't like that they were much slower, the action and dramatic rithym of the movie slows down a lot...that's why we didn't want the uncut one... :)

Dark Prince: the true story of Dracula. Well, it's very unusual view on this story and on Dracula. I was fond of it. :D

And then I saw "Bandidas". For such type of movies - not bad. :)

Love Actually.

Why did they do it so... American? Why so Hollywood? Airport scene, big emotional background music all the time, corny scene where one guy learns Portuguese in like an hour and his Portuguese couple learns English equally fast, etc.

I watched King Kong vs. Godzilla. Old Godzillas are maybe some kind of legends in Japan many years ago, but I have to say that this movie was totally horrible. This was my first movie from Godzilla series (okay, I've watched that new Hollywood movie too) and... how anything can be so dumb like this?

Godzilla looks ridiculous, but King Kong looks SO terrible that I laughed my ass of. Every f*cking "car", "tank", "train", "building" are not even real... I haven't ever seen so poor special effects than in this film.
Battles between Godzilla and King Kong looks soooooooo dumb...
Plot is simply just shit, and japanese actors are very bad...

King Kong vs. Godzilla is one of the worst movies I've ever seen for sure, but maybe other Godzilla movies are even much worse... but of course this movie was great fun, because it's so damn stupid.
If you haven't saw this movie already, DON'T EVER WATCH IT, because this really is really, really, really
BAD movie.

I suppose that King Kong vs Godzilla must have been a shock to you. I saw something very good though today. Pink Panther starring Steve Martin. It was a good comedy, but a bit too short IMO.

Well, it's not a movie, but I'm watching the Rome miniseries. I really like it. The environments are very well reproduced and the story is interesting. All the characters are historical characters except for the two main guys, Titus Pullo and Lucius Vorenus, who are fictional characters (one represents Caesar's interests and the other the Republic). So far, I've watched five out of twelve episodes. I highly recommend it.

I just saw the stupidest movie I could think of watching(well, maybe after the godzilla vs king kong movie  ) The house of wax. It was not for my taste.Despite that, it had a scene which I really enjoyed; Paris getting killed...

Ok, I haven't seen it before and that was the on;y scene which remains in my mind... But I agree both with you and Miguel_Ricardo! Everything after that is completely unnecessary!
