Oh, I dunno why I asked, coz I already knew the answer ;-)
The 50x serie seems to have better models than 40x. The Soundgear serie (except the Ergodyne basses) is really good imo.
You should check the BTB 50x serie, its absolutely fantastic, and more polyvalent that the SR serie.

I have checked them out, indeed they're very good but I'm not too much of a fan of 35" scale basses, plus the neck is a bit too big for my tastes. Besides, I'm a bit poor at the moment and a new bass is not a priority :D

a recent one of mine~
it was taken the day before yesterday, in Barcelona, during the so-called Gala dinner of our conference. but it's not a "Gala" Gala, as everyone danced like crazy afterwards...
