The Hellraiser&Evil Dead series followed those "rules", too! That article was right on, so true! Also one of my fav TV series, "Friday 13th, the Series" was so predictable along these lines, yet it was a top-rated show in the 80s&continues in syndication today in some areas.

Too true, also whenever there is going to be a "scare" you can time it down to 3 seconds from whenever the theme music stops/goes into a single note, I've seen it in MANY movies, its quite tedious.

BTW check out the one in Action films, although they've missed the miniguns being wielded like a regular gun when one person is almos physically incapable of carrying a gun and they need like 5 car batteries to work.
