New Years Eve 2001, I was very depressed because I'd just broken up with my then-girlfriend. I went to a metal night thing with my friends, and got very very very drunk. I threw up all over the bar, and the UV lights made my vomit glow, like a neon light.

Why did you pick your name?

Because it's the name of my favorite singer. She is fantastic woman!

What does it mean to you?

I pick this name almost at all forums I come. I think I have dark soul... Like she does.

Why did you pick your name? Because my parents gave it to me when i was born.
What does it mean to you? People call me with that..
What does it mean if it is in another language? David
When/how did you come up with it? When I was born, as I said.

@ Neonvomit: That's a great story. I've always wondered about your name; i never would have guessed it was literal...

@ Morgana: You said your favourite singer is also named Morgana -- which singer is that?

Mine's sort of a joke on the name of the Shadow Gallery song "Queen of the City of Ice" (good song, but easy to make fun of among friends lol)

Yeah I get a lot of comments about my username (I use the same one on all forums I go on, and on MSN as those of you who have me on your lists will be able to say) most people just think it's disgusting really :D

It came to me the last minute, actually
I didn't know what else to put when I registered. As time passes I think it was a false move.It sounds so bad in my ears, and in Greek it is like it saying I am called Babis, and I am not! Maybe I don't have much confidence in my decisions...

And I think Stratobabius is OK. Just my thought. :)

Wow, what interesting topics can be found if you open old pages...

Well, once I tryed to contrive a story about two witches called Forget-me-not and Touch-me-not. The story wasn't finished but the names were kept in my memory. These are also names of flowers:
here is touch-me-not (there are some species, they differ in colour and other features)

Image

and these are forget-me-nots

Image

I like forget-me-nots more, that's why I became one of them.

The name of flower was borrowed from Old French "ne m'oubliez pas" and first used in English in 1532. Loans and translations of it can be found in most European languages, like German "Vergissmeinnicht", Dutch "vergeet-mij-nietje", Danish "forglem-mig-ej", Swedish "förgätmigej", Romanian "nu-mă-uita", Hungarian "nefelejcs", Czech "pomněnka", Bulgarian "íåçàáðàâêà"(nezabravka), Russian "íåçàáóäêà" (nezabudka), Slovak "nezábudka", Polish "niezapominajka", Italian "nontiscordardimé", Spanish "nomeolvides", Japanese "Wasurenagusa" etc.

In the 15th century Germany, it was supposed that the wearers of the flower will not be forgotten by their lovers.

Legend has it that in medieval times, a knight and his lady were walking along the side of a river. He picked a posy of flowers, but because of the weight of his armour he fell into the river. As he was drowning he threw the posy to his loved one and shouted "Forget-me-not". This is a flower connected with romance and tragic fate. It was often worn by ladies as a sign of faithfulness and enduring love. (From Wikipedia)

Here is a short history of my name :)

When I was a child, I used to love Transformers and He-Man. I had pretty much most He-Man figure/toy ever, but not so many Transformers.(which I reckon were my favourites, though I never ever got a Decepticon Jet:( ) Then when I was older, I moved out of my parents about eight years ago and got the internet for the first time. I found out you could still buy Transformer toys. My first Decepticon jet I managed to get was Dirge! It's been my online and Counter Strike name ever since!

Everywhere I use "Eagleheart" as a nickname but here it wasn't accepted (maybe because it has been accounted to someone else) So I deciced to use "Maniac".. because Strato's last album was still fresh then :)

Miditek is a play on acronymns and abbreviated slang:

MIDI- most musicians know that this is an acronymn for (Musical Instrument Digital Interface), and a good description of it is at:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Midi

I have used MIDI for years and years in my home studio for composing, mixing, automation, etc.

tek- slang abbreviation for tech, or technician, as I'm a PC network engineer by trade.
