Something's weird about that site&stuff. It looked fake or something. I mean, its real, but something just doesn't jive.

There is supposed to be a big, box-office sequel about the end/death of Pinhead about 2009, or earlier. Clive Barker said he did not want any more to do with this series after that. But, he said he was going to legally leave it possible for other directors/writers/producers to create movies about Pinhead&the Gang, if they wish.

I believe though, that Hellraiser and Evil Dead are in quite an early stage, so it's not 100% sure they'll even make them. The new Halloween is already in post-production, so it's coming for sure.

I thought Shrek was a bit overrated, but this was seimply hilarious from start to finish. I especially liked John Cleese (imo the funniest man alive) playing the King.

Also today bought Casino Royale on DVD.

Anyone remember AIRWOLF? The late-80s CBS TV series which was about a CIA Supersonic helicopter that a group of people used to serve justice on terrorists, drug&gunrunners, criminals&various other thugs and anti-social misfits. Later, Airwolf was syndicated to USA Network for 1 season with a different cast: the originals Earnest Borgnine(Santini)was killed off, Caitlin(ex-model Jean Bruce Scott) went to work for the government, and Stringfellow Hawke's long lost brother, St. John, was found.

Anyway, IMO it was a great show&a movie is in the writing phase about this subject.

Miami Vice was OK.
Airwolf was the top show for awhile, but so were those others.
So, its a good idea if a good director&producer get chosen for the project.

My son told me of two upcoming movies which sounded very good!

1. PATHFINDER--About a Viking child who is raised by Native Americans. The Vikings return to America to fight the Indians&discover the Viking boy, now a grown man, is fighting on the side of the Indians.

2. THE LAST LEGION--This movie really interested me. Its about the crumbling of the Roman Empire around 470AD, and one man's attempt to save the last Roman "royalty"(a young boy)from death. This movie starts in Europe in a month or so, but does not come to USA until August. The guy(Alex Siddiq)who plays Saladin's officer in Kingdom of Heaven, plays Emperor Theodosius in this movie.

Well I would consider this movie as a masterpiece. How the director made a packing drama out of a not very new kind of story, how he creates a mix of story fragments and how they gather together later in the film (after really confusing the observer in the first place) is simply impressive. And the actors, the actors... Sean Penn, Naomi Watts, and especially Benicio Del Toro play their maybe best movie ever!

Movie that I've wanted see for a long time turned out to be GoodFellas goes Las Vegas, with Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci playing the same characters and Sharon Stone replacing Lorraine Bracco. Not that it was bad though, Martin Scorsese couldn't make a bad movie even if he put all the effort on it.

Casino Royale
Honestly, one of the greatest Bond-movies ever. Daniel Graig isn't a typical Bond-actor and the movie itself brought something new to the series.

The Grudge
Slightly different from most american "horror"-movies in the last 10-15 years, but it didn't help me from losing interest in it after 5 minutes of watching.

Koroshiya 1 / Ichi The Killer
Fucked up, ultra-violent Japanese crime-movie. Liked it.

Yes, Norton did play a skinhead in a movie-about 10 years ago, thats true. But, many guys(and gals) play assholes in movies, thats no reflection on them personally, IMO. Even actors have to eat! Robin Williams played a serial killer, so did Matthew McConagnahey, Tim Daly, and Mark Harmon, etc. etc. and so on.....
I think everyone knows what I mean.

Brick

Kind of a Neo-Noir thriller, combining the dialogues of the 40s with a scenery at the American west coast of today, with teenagers as main characters. Nice idea indeed, and technically a very very well made movie. It just didn't build up enough tension for me, most of the time I was bored while watching. Nevertheless, it works as a piece of art for me.

How can anyone possibly not like Kill Bills? The comic book -like plot and characters are just the point of those movies. I really think he's great. Have you seen Eyes Wide Shut? Magnolia? He's great in Collateral, his performance is what makes the film so great. And the dynamic cinematography, Mann's trademark.

I agree with you on that. As much as I like Pulp Fiction, I really dislike the Kill Bill movies. Stupid story, stupid dialogues, ...

I hate Tom Cruise for being in Scientology and trying to convince others of this greedy sect, but as an actor he's great, especially in Collateral, but also in Minority Report or Vanilla Sky.
