Seems to be a religious conflict.

It maybe just "saber rattling", but the Turks are highly pissed.
I don't quite understand the history of this "feud", maybe someone who understands religious issues could enlighten me about this.
Absolutely not a religious conflict at all. Turkey is overwhelmingly a Muslim nation, and the Kurds are also Muslims.browneyedgirl wrote: Seems to be a religious conflict.

No it is not a religious conflict. No wars in the history are completely religious(only a little percentage of reasons of wars are religious). Its reasons are politics. Turkey does not want a independent kurdistan in north Iraq and north Iraq supports(some says officially some says unoficially) seperationist group named pkk...browneyedgirl wrote:http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/7046765.stm
