Creed claimed to be a Christian band, but in reality, given their lifestyle&antics they were far and away from being Christian!
Groupies, drugs and booze participating were rampant on their tours. And, they bragged about it.

Some consider Helloween a Christian band. Also Hansi Kürsch of Blind Guardian has said "I am a faithful but very critical Christian."

I wouldn't say that they're christian. They have "Hey Lord" and the other song from Better than Raw and that is it.
And Hansi said in an interview that BG isn't a christian band.

Dragons and sword battles are a lot more interesting than christ on a bike.

Well I have known about this stuff quite a while, from the Zenon Panoussis incident in Sweden where he quite cleverly exploited "offentlighetsprincipen", and the COS in desperation had stooges sit and request and pretend to read the official acts involved. It was quite funny, I read somewhere where the clerks there were quoted as saying.. "well, fuck, there's ten dudes here with anoraks who have checked out all the ten photocopies of the documents, so I guess we have to make more copies"
This was in the mid 90s and the early days of operation Clambake. For mre details about Zenon see
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zenon_Panoussis ..
Anyway, I just don't get it
.. whatever makes people's boats float I guess.

Woah that is pretty interesting. Almost everytime I hear about the COS it reminds me of Zappa's "The First Church of Appliantology".
On a side note, has anybody seen bill maher's religulous?
(note to self:never piss off a trucker who weighs over 300lbs.

Creed never claimed to be a christian band, that is always misunderstood. Scott Stapp just comes from a christian backround,Creeds genre is more of a grunge type metal.
Same with both Blind Guardian and Helloween they only come from christian backrounds, their genre is still power metal.
A christian band is not a band that sings about god on maybe a few songs, a christian band is a band that sings about god on a constant basis.
Creed, Blind Guardian and Helloween do not do this.

Why don't people ever make fun of pagan gods? After all, a lot of them have close similarities with most religious shit right?

The westboro baptist church makes me want to puke. They obviously haven't seen the '666' in their zip code.

Yeah it's real. They go all over the world and hold signs of stick figures taking it in the ass.......thinking "that'll show dem' faggots!". If you have time, check out some documentaries about them. They believe 100% that they are doing god's job or some strange shit. Hell, I think they even held signs at George Carlin's funeral.
The old bastard behind it is a psycho.
