I'm still very glad the Dio line up of Sabbath is working, maybe Iommi can keep that going.

Yeah. I think the reason Sabbath was "dead" so long is because of her father. AFAIK Sabbath was for her something that her father build up and she hates her father IIRC.

So writing Sharon with a $ instead of a S is as worse as fucking around with Iron Maiden's equipment and the electricity during a live show, propably beeing responsible for the Bass/drum re-recordings on the re-releases of the first 2 albums so that she doesn't need to pay any royalties to the original drummer and bassist and also propably being responsible for this ridiculous lawsuit? I mean don't get me wrong I love Ozzy and he's a great vocalist but Tony Iommi is the one who started Black Sabbath and he should decide what he wants to do with it.

I don't know what he's going to do but if it were me I'd feel betrayed and not ever want to work with the man again.

They formed the band together, butler found the name for the band. Ozzy wrote the lyrics for the first black sabbath song that changed the way they wrote music and butler wrote the first song. I think that shows that it took all of them to become black sabbath in the first place.

ozzy wants 25%, even if he gets 50% that does not mean he can just go tour without iommi's permission as black sabbath

what matteres is what they agreed to as to the ownership of the name. if they were all supposed to have 25% and iommi broke that agreement, it should be changed back to the original agreement.

That's all well and good except for the fact that when Iommi started the band, it wasn't called Black Sabbath. They only switched to that after the four original members decided on it. That could complicate things legally.

Honestly, Heaven and Hell should stick with that name, it's catchy and it gets them out from the shadow of Sabbath (and the repeated requests for pre Mob Rules songs)
