If you carefully read what I wrote you would understand what I mean by normal. Just try to define what the word "normal" means and everything is clear. Norms are made upon the expectations of human civilizations and cultures, and in most countries (in our times) the norms say that homosexuality isn't normal. I don't agree with most of the norms, but in this aspect I do agree with them, but not 100% as I think homosexuals can be normal, but there sexuality isn't, as genetically most people are heterosexual, so statistically heterosexuality is the norm. Quite right, I think it's pretty hard to define the term "normal". On the one hand what you comprehend in normal is dependent on the point of view of a person and various cultural/ethnic aspects, but on the other hand you could say it's what the average amount of people is doing/thinking. We are beings with logic and science, we can make use of tools in ways that other species cannot. The natural way to conceive is not the required way to breed. There are whole farm sciences and industries dedicated to creating babies without the two animals having to have sex.

I have never heard of a society that has died out because of a gay population. The relatives of the gay people have more children to make up for that. As long as we have different tribes, all it takes is one male per tribe to keep it all going and impregnate. People have been killing off large portions of male population in animals and those breeds are not extinct

There is some truth in this. I don't really like eating meat especially when thinking of the process but I can't help it. I don't think I can sustain myself on strictly vegetarian diet.

Having said that, it looks to be a law of nature. Most animals eat meat. Carbon based lifeforms need protein to build ATPs and in turn produce chemical energy to sustain metabolic reactions. They will always look for the highest protein content intake. That's not only natural, it is in-built.

Before you correct me that there is a huge number of herbivores I would say most animals are actually omnivores given the circumstances.

1) That 'normal' is bound to time and place.
2) That 'normal' is biological and thus eternal.

The whole concept of normal is part of our language and brains. It's not out there in 'nature'. Saying that being gay is normal can easily be justified by look at animal behaviour. There are gay pinguins, dolphines, chimps etc. It's all quite arbitrary, really. What we from a hard science point of view deem to be normal sometimes really is up to us.
