Just because a album sells good doesn't mean that it is good. All albums since The Ultimate Sin were medicore at best.

are we going to look at legacy and commercial value, or whether or not ragehead likes an album as a indicator towards the value of ozzy to black sabbaths name?

I don't give a fuck about how much an album sells. Look how shit like Jonas Brothers or Hana Monthana sells. Does it make the music any good?

"Good" is entirely too subjective a merit to be used for music. Sales are the real mark of a successful musician. In addition, if something is sold in vast quantities, vast quantities of people must think it's "Good" (in terms of value, quality and sound).

Do I like Jonas Brothers? Fuck no, I've barely heard of them (they appear in a lot of Youtube comments). Do I respect any success they achieve? Hell yes.

I have no respect for those 3 guys at all. No they do well but 10 or 20 years from now, who do you think will be remembered? Black Sabbath or the Jonas Brothers?

And again, my point never were album sales. My point was that Ozzy owes his whole carrere to Iommi. Without Iommi picking him up in the 60s nobody would even know who he is.

I think we all know the secret behind Jonas Brother's success.

Of course, you could argue that Iommi would've never made it big with Sabbath without Ozzy. Even if I don't like him.

What has Ozzy ever done musicaly for Sabbath? Near to nothing! They would've found another one.

For sure, but Ozzy does have very distinctive and personal voice, like it or not, which you can't find just anywhere.

Well, maybe you're right. But that still doesn't change the fact that Ozzy is dependent on other bandmembers to write music for him. All alone he is nothing.

I don't care who's more successful or who's considered to be who in the band, the point is Iommi stuck with the band and never gave it up, he put his blood sweat and tears into it even after all the so-called "true Sabbath" fans ditched him.

He stuck to his guns and persevered through all the years, The Sabbath name belongs to him.

I give full credit to Bill ward,Geezer Butler and Ozzy Osbourne, however when they quit the band(and I don't mean to sound mean here)they really gave up their right to say what Iommi should do with the band.
