x-MORE and original IRON MAIDEN vocalist Paul Mario Day has formed a new hard rock band called CRIMSON LAKE. They have already scheduled some gigs in Australia and are working on European shows as well.
Check out audio samples at this location.
Paul Mario Day, 53, was the original lead vocalist of IRON MAIDEN (from 1975 to 1976). He later formed a band called MORE that played at the U.K.'s Monsters of Rock festival in 1981. He was also the lead singer of WILDFIRE (1983-1984) and he recorded a live album at the Marquee club in London as the frontman of THE SWEET in 1986.
On IRON MAIDEN's "Early Days" DVD, it was mentioned that Day was sacked because he didn't have enough stage charisma. He was replaced by Dennis Wilcock, who compensated for his lack of vocal prowess with onstage theatrics in the style of KISS.
Paul Day now lives in Australia (since 1986) and sings with two bands in Newcastle, CRIMSON LAKE and DEFACED.

Thanks!
I like his voice. Very powerful and raspy.

Meh. I can hear some Maiden & Black Sabbath rip-offs...
