Of those in "Spiegel", I played on three out of 44...
I dunno, HHAL single never caught my attention as horrible, it was just a single.
And my satisfaction with the song choice on The Chosen Ones was enough to overcome the shit artwork.

I've always thought Stratovarius has done a much better job with their artwork than most bands, however, Polaris was beyond awesome, it even beat out Infinite (Which was my previous favorite)

Chosen Ones? Painkiller? As The Angels Reach The Beauty? Edge Of Thorns? Seriously?
Most of these are average, some even good ones. Did they simply type "metal album cover" in Google images and list the first 44 they found?

Some of these are actually comical, which makes me wonder if the covers were intentional? :D
I mean, something with humor does tend to grab a persons attention, so..........

I honestly did think that the Dance of Death cover was a joke when it was first revealed. The rest of the booklet is awesome however, and the album is their best since the return of Dickinson/Smith IMO... proof you really can't tell a book (or album) by its cover but yes, it is appalling.

I have to addmit it, the "Dance Of Death" is kind of weird... But the other ones, OMG! I guess I should have put Iron Maiden's cover in No 20, it's not that bad :?

When I saw the Dance of Death cover for the first time I seriously thought; "Hmm, interesting draft, I wonder what the final version will look like."

In my opinion? Everything that's made on that god damn computer-graphic-that-looks-like-computer-graphic style. Like almost every Strato album... like about every power metal album in general. I just wish there was more variation. :E

I liked Polaris, Infinite and Visions though.

But seriously, why not photographs, different style graphics, drawings... anything! Not ALWAYS that godawful graphic-graphic without persona. :(

Actually, its pretty cool. :bigok: Whats the symbolism behind it? ??? I mean, it looks as if the ships are in a bad storm, and are going to sink. Back in that era, ships going under happened alot, and it would be a real tragedy.

I could never totally get into DoD. It does have some great songs, like New Frontier (my favorite), but I'll take Brave New World over DoD any day.

Paschendale and Face in the Sand are epic tracks, and while BNW is a great album there aren't any songs on there that really equal those two.

But that's a matter of taste :D

Ghost of the Navigator and Dream of Mirrors are two of my favorite Maiden songs. Fell in love with them from the moment I heard them. But you are right, it is a matter of taste :) And when it comes to live shows, nothing can really compare to Maiden.

Ummm.... the cover of DOD, in comparison with the rest of Maiden covers is , in my opinion, under the average of the band. About the songs, it is not my favourite cd, although some songs are good enough ( Rainmaker, DOD,) but the production wasn´t brilliant as usual, sound is a bit..."dirty".

Another bad cover: Barón Rojo- Desafío.
Barón Rojo in their worst era. Songs are not bad, but... no money at all to do a good product.
