Recently seen movies
I've watched "Elsewhere" today, the movie with Anna Kendrick. In the middle of the movie I knew who was the killer.
Re: Recently seen movies
"Alice in Wonderland" in 3D. What can I say... I expected more from 3D and from the movie. And it was not the best Depp's role. But the monster in the final battle was really horrible, I liked it. In common... Well... 4/5. I saw better movies, even without 3D.

Ninja Assassin
Crappy storyline, mediocre acting, BUT: lots of blood! Perfect for getting loaded before going out.

Re: Recently seen movies
The Wolfman: It was cool, but there are plenty of others better were-wolves movies. Besides, it was too predictible (at least for me). But equally to what Carcass said, lots and lots and lots of blood

DARK PORTALS
A 2001 French movie(dubbed in English). A detective thriller "who done it" with supernatural undertones. A very good movie! It starred that French actor with the big nose. He always does very well!

Re: Recently seen movies
I've just seen the best movie about vampires ever - "Let me in". It's a love story about 12 years old boy and girl-vampire. It's not pink snivels of "Twilight". It's vampires as they are, unvarnished life and death. Much blood, cruelty - and love. It's a story about how cruel people - children! - can be, and how srtrong can be vampire's love. It's just like broken soul. 10/10. The movie is beautiful with its trustworthiness and authenticity, the classical signs of vampires are showed so nice: fear of sun light, fear of cats, and the fact that vampire cannot enter the house without its owner's permission, and spontaneous ignition under the light... And emotional component is great. And that episode when the vampire girl was found in the bath instead of the coffin!.. And funny analogy with "Twilight":
- How old are you?
- Seventeen
- How long have you been seventeen?
- Long enough
And here was:
- Are you old?
- Twelve. But I've been twelve for a long.
I have no words. I've always tried to imagine the possibility of vampires that live among us, - and now I've seen how could it be.

If we are talking about the same movie, I think it was from Sweden and the original name is "Låt Den Rätte Komma In (Let The Right One In)". In my opinion sort of slow, but excellentMorgana wrote:I've just seen the best movie about vampires ever - "Let me in". It's a love story about 12 years old boy and girl-vampire. This was a good movie! Alot of true history was distorted, but still a very good movie. I always enjoy medieval, and period films.Morgana wrote:"The Other Boleyn Girl". Scarlett Johanson is great, I love her. Beautiful movie.

Re: Recently seen movies
I've watched "Becoming Jane" with Ann Hathaway. Fuck, it was such a stirring movie, the actors were so convincing... Some moments made my heart sank, really.
Just think about it - how people lived in that time... They married not beloved persons but the persons who were chosen by their parents. They married not the persons but their money or houses... How could they survive?
And on the other hand their life was so regulated, rules-rules-rules, no other way to go. Now we can fuck-fuck-fuck and still cannot choose the name for these relations, but everything was so clear that time...And these sweet sleeve touches... Damn, it was a beautiful time.

Re: Recently seen movies

This movie is so stupid, its hilarious! I loved it! What happens when 3 rednecks join the National Guard.

BTW, if a remake is ever done of Mayberry RFD, DJ Qualls would make an excellent Barney Fife!

@miditek, have you saw this movie? I think you'd love it! Seriously. I recommend it to anyone who likes silly comedy!
Re: Recently seen movies
I've tried to watch "In The Wild" but turned it off after 40 minutes. I was some shit about refusal of society, money, status and parents and about anchoretic searching of the meaning of life. Maybe I'm a child of the system, civilisation and progress, so I think that the main character behaved so stupid.

I've seen Daybreakers a few days ago and liked it very much. Sam Neill is great at playing evil characters.

I've watched "Pride & Prejudice" with Keira Knightley. I liked it though I don't like Keira Knightley because she has no tits and she is one of those actresses who have expressive eyes but always play themselves. It was interesting to watch this movie after watching "Becoming Jane" - preconditions were clear. And the name of the movie reproduces the contents very well.

I had to check twice your nickname to make sure it was a girl who said that and not a boy.
Anyway...last movies I saw were:
- The Hurt Locker. It sucked a lot. I was asleep so I missed the great ending, what a pity!
- Love happens
- Watchmen

Re: Recently seen movies
Some years ago I saw the movie, and now I want to recommend it to you. Its name is "Dark Prince: The True Story of Dracula", translation is different. For a wonder, it's not interesting for vampire fans, but the movie is close to historical drama. As it's written in reviews, and I have to agree, it's impossible to hide the eyes: the main actor has such kind eyes so he doesn't look like a cruel murderer or despot. And maybe that's the reason why Dracula looks so touchingly, as if he would be able to love sincerely and grieve harrowing. You won't lose your time, watch it.

I also taped THIS^^^^movie when it was on USA Network about 10 years ago, on Halloween night no less!Morgana wrote:Some years ago I saw the movie, and now I want to recommend it to you. A really good movie with alot of historical stuff in it that is true. Of course its a drama, a movie, but Vlad the Impaler truly existed and this movie had some historical facts in it. Probably, the real Vlad looked somewhat like the Martin guy who played him, with a mustache, of course. And, actually Vlad had 2 sons instead of just one.
A good movie. I recommend it, too.
@Morgana, it seems you&I like alot of the same movies!
