Well... I listened to The Wicked Symphony's title track. It's good but I think Allen should ease up on the smoking, Jorn as well. I really liked the chorus, but there's one point (6:46 to 7:30) where Sammet lets out this really whiny, grating adlibbing...

Maybe he should just write the damn songs and have the singers with talent handle all the vocal duties.

I've sat down and listened to the albums again. I tried to do it with an open mind and without the "it has to be Power Metal" mintset and I have to say the songs really grew on me and I enjoy them. There are still one or two songs I dislike but overall I think we're getting the two most complex and sophisticated albums that Sammet has ever done.
