And no, I'm not forgetting anything, I don't like Black Diamond. It's just the same kind of song as Forever Free, only difference is that Forever Free is 100 times better.
Takes some serious balls to say that around these corners!
Also Dreamspace is underated since it's not praized by all of the people on this planet, and all the astrofuckers in outerspace.

I think so too. IMO DPP is
MUCH better than Century Child and Once.
DPP kick some serious big huge major ass! I think is their best album, those guys are just at the top of their game, and I also like annette as much as I like tarja, I just think her voice adds another dinamics to nightwish that an operatic voice cant ( an opera voice will be always an opera voice vs the pop feeling of annette can be a lot more versatile ) and I think tuomas saw that and tarja wouldnt fit in the new direction of nightwish anyways.

It's not that Anette is different, it's just that she is a very, very bad singer.

I agree with Balu, she fits better of course than Tarja, but IMO I think she can't sing well and I hardly understand her.
Dreamspace is underrated and all early Stratovarius stuff (I mean Twilight Time and 4th Dimension) and for me Destiny is overrated. I like Visions. And self-titled is underrated (besides Zenith of Power)

Agree with this, except Twilight Time, didn't really like that one.
BTW: What's your problem with Zenith of Power? : D

And to crush your NW discussion I would just like to point out that all of their albums are overrated

Other parts of the song are full of energy but then i think the chorus crushes the whole flow.

you are just talking crap... is hard to adjust to a new front man and there are many examples of this... when bayley replaced dickinson, when ripper owens replaced haldford and so on... of course Neither Bayle or Owens are bad singers is just that they were the new and the change is always though.
anyway. annette is cool and hopefully nightwish will achieve even more success than they already had.

It is only hard if a GOOD singer is replaced by a BAD singer. In this case, that happened, in the cases you said, a good one was replaced by another good one.
Anette is just awful. I could list lots of great female metal singer, from Simone Simons through Lori Lewis, even Anneke van Giersbergen. Different styles, all good.

If I had any musical education, I'd be able to tell you, but since I don't, I can only say that if you don't hear it, you're either deaf or are very fond of the sound of dying cats.

You have very abnormal ears if you hear dying cats when she sings

Listen to Live in Hong Kong. She is simply out of tune and out of power. On DPP, she's bit better, but that's magic of the studio

I don't like Annette OR Tarja. Annette is too poppy, Tarja is too repetitive. Both sound great for their certain styles, but the problem is they do not really have much range outside of their same sound.
Nightwish should have gotten someone like Bridget Fogle, an unknown who can do anything and has an incredible voice. But she isn't skinny and fuckable, so maybe she just wouldn't give Tuomas what he really wants.

Too poppy for metal, yes. If I wanted to listen to pop, I'd listen to pop. I have yet to hear a single song that combines the two that isn't absolutely atrocious.

mmm I guessing you have to reconsider some stuff, but A million Light years away, Eaglehearth, Hunting High & Low, I walk on my own song, playing with fire.......... are VERY poppy songs for a metal band, and I guess you can hear a formula on those songs. Pop & Metal has been mixed from "cum on feel the noise" (the cover Quiet Riot did in the 80s) onwards...and even before..but I dont recall right now.

Having catchy melodies doesn't make them less metal.
Also, Anette in Nightwish is much more like... Hansi from BG being replaced by Justin Bieber.
