Last albums that I've bought since my post in January (oh god):

KISS - Sonic Boom
RUSH - Gold
Europe - The Final Countdown: The Very Best of
Scorpions - Sting in the Tail
Unisonic - Unisonic
RUSH - Clockwork Angels
Dream Theater - Images and Words
Black Sabbath - The Dio Years

I'm planning to also pick up The Last in Line by Dio soon considering that I absolutely love Holy Diver and I might as well slowly go through his solo albums chronologically considering most of the compilations I've found are Holy Diver + a couple of other songs.

Do it. Holy Diver might be the greatest of the bunch, at least by popular opinion, but if you liked that album, you're going to at least like The Last in Line. :)

Tarot - To Live Forever
Thus completing my collection of their studio albums.

Nightwish - Made In Hong Kong (And In Various Other Places)
I hesitated purchasing this since I heard a lot criticism towards it, but turns out it's... ok.

Still pondering if the new Deep Purple is worth bying at full price. Based on the song / clips I've heard, no, not at all.

I did get the new
Iced Earth - Live In Ancient Kourion DVD/BluRay/2CD

..which I really really love. Great setlist, great sounds and great performances from every member. A must-buy for every IE fan me thinks. :)

Blind Guardian - Battalions of Fear

Don't really know why, but I never was that familiar with this band. Then I saw this CD for sale at local second hand store, and thought, now or never. I really like this. Especially two first tracks, Majesty and Guardian of the Blind.

Blind Guardian - Follow the Blind
Blind Guardian - Tales from the Twilight World
Blind Guardian - Imaginations from the Other Side
Blind Guardian - Nightfall in Middle-Earth

Nocturnal Rites - Tales of Mystery and Imagination (Japan)
Nocturnal Rites - Afterlife (Japan)

One of my favourite bands. What the heck happened to them? Did they quit or what? Any Nocturnal Rites fans here?

Battalions of Fear is the worst BG album, but it's OK because it's the first, and not necessarily 'bad', they've just always got better. Every album shows steady improvement until Nightfall in Middle Earth, after which there's a minor drop-off to the still amazing Night at the Opera, and then divided opinions on A Twist in the Myth, before the really, really amazing At the Edge of Time.

I'd say Follow the Blind is worse, though I still like it a lot. Other than that, completely agreed. I suggest you get Somewhere Far Beyond next.

Haven't listened much yet, Follow the Blind twice. I liked few songs from the first album at first listen. With Follow the Blind I didn't have same feel. The Last Candle is my favourite song at the moment, easily one of the best songs I've discovered this year.

Yeah, going to buy Somewhere Far Beyond next. 8)
