What do you guys think of Charisma Carpenter? (She played Cordelia in Buffy and Angel)
I'm a girl and I'm NO lesbian, but I like (in the friendly way) pretty girls better than ugly girls. Maybe because I like beauty (since I like to draw and paint and stuff) . I make this comment so that people won't think I could possibly say what I'll say because of envystratoplayer wrote:Thats close enough dont worry![]()

There had to come an annoying person to ruin it all. The only bitter person here is you, shut up.Evangelion wrote:You know what irks me? When some woman totally hits on a married man in public. The Venus De Milo was meant to be the perfect image of beauty when it was sculpted, all those years ago. Show one of today's supermodels to the sculptor and they would have found her unattractive. Narrow hips not suitable for childbearing, slim and skinny, i.e. not well-fed which was an important sign of health and social status back then, etc.browneyedgirl wrote:Well, I googled for a pic of Charisma&she did not have many decent ones--I mean, fit to show publicly in a forumShe was in Playboy.

Nowadays, seeing someone who is large and, let's be honest, obese, is seen as unattractive because they'll subconsciously be considered unhealthy, and therefore unsuitable genetic material with which to create offspring.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and is also in the eye of society. Tastes change, just like morality changes through the years. It was seen as fitting to have someone put in the stocks for a day in the 16th century for stealing fruit, whereas that sort of punishment is seen as cruel today. Just as being large and chunky was an attractive trait back then, because it showed you were well-off to afford a lot of food.
Being very pale back in my grandparents' youth was considered an attractive trait, because it meant that you didn't work in the fields (and so didn't get tanned by the sun) and therefore were educated or rich or both. It became fashionable for Northern Europeans to be tanned about 30-40 years ago, because it showed you could afford to travel where it was sunny and warm. Now anyone who is very pale is instantly seen as unhealthy and not spending enough time outdoors. Tanning booths and salons and sunbeds really take it to the extreme of posturing and falseness these days.
Ideas of beauty change along with society. Who knows, maybe in 50 years Roseanne will be seen as the idea of beauty. But right now, we've been conditioned to think that Claudia Sciffer is far more attractive.
So, BEG, don't blame men for not finding all body types attractive. It's just the way we've been brought up. Just like in several African tribes, the idea of beauty is stretched lips and ears. Me? I like athletic, slim, tall girls with long legs and not exessively large breasts. I guess I'm primordially attracted to girls who seem active, healthy, flexible, and agile. Maybe my ancestors had trouble with women being ill or too curvy or whatever. Who will ever know?
You're acting like you're obsessed. It's an internet forum, who cares? You do, apparently.Evangelion wrote:I´m not some Allison. I know someone is obsessed here and it´s not me.
