"Oh, come on, you should know my opinion about Kai!

-> Now you know Florian's opinion about Deris.
Luckily I think all the three are awesome, each their own way.

Alright... hold it right there, mister (or miss? I don't know). You may not like those albums, which is fine, you don't have to listen to them - to each their own, but shitty vocals?Florian wrote:So you can't listen any Helloween album which was released after 1993?
Blaze sounds like a badass singing the trooperBabylon wrote:Right and also adds his own style to the old songs. For the 100th time, they are not going to sound like Kiske's versions, it is a DIFFERENT singer. If you want that, listen to the albums... And "a disaster"? Blaze singing The Trooper, now THAT's a disaster. And also, I don't see what is so bad about Andi singing I Want Out?
Babylon wrote:Or Blaze singing Hallowed Be Thy Name
Well yea, different ranges, different styles. But I think Andi does a good job on these songs, it's just that some people expect to hear the exact same thing as on the album. Comparisons are inevitable between former and new singers... "Deris can't sing Kiske era songs", "Michale Graves can't sing Danzig songs", "Belladona was better than John Bush", in the end it's all a matter of personal taste, but I agree with hiro about Kiske fan boys rippin on Deris, it is a bit too much.pneumonia wrote:I'm not a Kiske fanboy, but I couldn't understand listening to eagle fly free or i want out with pleasure by people who has a minimum of sense of pitch and rhythm. Andi in Kiske/Kai songs is simply out of pitch, cause the range of vocals is too wide for him.
I agree with that! I would love to hear more stuff from The Time Of The Oath and Better Than Raw. And I would kill to hear Heaven Tells No Lies live...pneumonia wrote:on tour more MotR-Dark Ride stuff, and Gambling too because it is great and it fits to Andis voice!
You are gravely mistaken! Dr. Stein's experiment was bad; Kiske made Starlight about four times better with his outstanding vocals. Fix'd.pneumonia wrote:And Kiske singing Starlight was a bad experiment.
Pretty much yes... If one song had to be raised above all the others on Gambling, it would be hard. The album is so solid all the way. I still think it would be Heaven Tells No Lies.Babylon wrote: I agree with that! I would love to hear more stuff from The Time Of The Oath and Better Than Raw. Yeah. It's a bad thing that a band that good suddenly shows so little control and just pick a random song which they can't really cover well... They do a lot these bad covers. Their own material though is great!Babylon wrote:BTW, Eagle Fly Free by Vision Divine came on my media player earlier.... wow what an awful coverNow I remember why I never listen to these Helloween tribute albums.
By far my favorite song from this album. Although all of them are great. And I don't know why "Never Surrender" didn't make it on the album, I love that one as well.Intiaani wrote:Pretty much yes... I haven't heard much form Vision Divine, but what I've heard is actually pretty good, so you'd think they'd make an at least half decent version of Eagle Fly Free..Intiaani wrote:Yeah. W00t. Never even heard (of) it. :/ On my digipac issue there are only Find My Freedom and See the Night...Babylon wrote:By far my favorite song from this album. Although all of them are great. And I don't know why "Never Surrender" didn't make it on the album, I love that one as well.

Never Surrender is a bonus track for exclusively for the USA. There is another one called We Unite which is a bonus track exclusively for Japan. And there is still some unreleased material left.Intiaani wrote:W00t. No need to apologize. I know that their material is nothing earthshaking and that they're not re-inventing the wheel. I can understand if people think they're dull. But I still love them.Intiaani wrote:Babylon wrote:I haven't heard much form Vision Divine, but what I've heard is actually pretty good, so you'd think they'd make an at least half decent version of Eagle Fly Free..Intiaani wrote:Yeah. That's true too. And Luppi surely can (could >_<) sing. Now they're with Fabio Leone (Rhapsody) again. Something just didn't work there...
It's like the opposite of At Vance. They make an ABBA cover, it's a good cover. Their own material though is a bit earthbound (sorry Ragehead!).
