Yes, that picture wasn't big enough.

Anyway, USA and England through... England will most likely face arch-rivals Germany in the next round if they go according to plan. Premature final maybe?

Anyway. All set for the Germany - Ghana match. If Serbia beat Australia (which they probably will) Germany have to beat Ghana to go through...

I just can't understand.
There should be no thanks or whatever if one team wins or another. It's like if today in the spanish media we could read: "Thanks Greece". I mean, the only direction here is just to offend. And I ask why.

Good notes there.

Anyway, terrible performance from Italy. They deserved to go out. Next time!

Any predictions for Japan - Denmark?

Good notes?

I'm feeling like when you say a joke and nobody understand it.

It is not necessary to quote my words, it was clear that it was just to say "fuck you Italy" because of the La Gazzetta dello Sport thing and the macarroni hate against Spain, instead of being neutral (like it should be normal for the media), the italians chose to laugh when we lost against Switzerland. So, for being disrespectful, fuck you all.

For Japan - Denmark, I hope Denmark will pass. But it's difficult.

Does anyone have any predictions for the remaining matches today? The big ones are obviously Spain - Chile and Brazil - Portugal...

Quoted for reference!

Brazil - Portugal = zzzzzzzzzz but then again I guess it's to be expected, both are safe through to the next round so nobody needed to take any major risks.
Rather a physical match, perhaps Kaka's suspension was a blessing in disguise?

Also, bit sad for N Korea, probably the last time we'll see any of them alive. Will they go back home to face labour camps? Will they defect? What will happen to their families?

Stay tuned for the answers and much more on Uncle Kim's Happy Hour Of The People's Re-education!

Spain sucks, the favourite, the european champions, the team with the "best" players only attack when is needed.
Spain does not play nice, is not even between the best teams in the world, and I have my doubts if they really deserved qualify.

Yes, Spain played really bad in the group, but...it is in the round before quarter finals. Other teams, that were REAL favourites and have a lot of cups, have come back home. England had really bad games too (for example). Do not forget, Spain is not favourite, because the team have never won a world cup. Favourites are now: Brazil, Argentina and Germany.

Anyway, Spain played really bad. I hope that now, the players will show 100% of their possiblities. We'll see.

And please DEL BOSQUE, FORGET XABI ALONSO, CESC IS THE MAN. WE DON'T HAVE TO PLAY WITH TWO DEFENSIVE MIDFIELDERS.

Warning: I am incredibly drunk, so brace yourselves. It's going to get ugly.

Two observations about the Spain game:

1) Fernando, nothing says "Sell me, please" like diving like a cunt and playing so piss poor you actively depress your transfer value
2) Cesc really wants to be a Barcelona reserve, doesn't he?

I don't remember the refereeing ever being this bad at a major tournament. Am I wrong? Can someone correct me?

It's fucking total fucking shit. These cunts, and the cunts that have appointed them should be lined up against a wall and shot. One ref was from Guatemala, that hot bed of officialdom. Hopefully they will dispense with these chimps in the knockout round. FIFA will have made their unfair and pointless gesture in support of the spirit of global inclusivity, and they can use proper referees.

Also, I would like to see some retrospective action taken against these simulating and diving shit-wanking bastards. 10 game bans. All this shit about preserving the spirit of the game is just putrid Sepp-Blatter-flavoured hot air. And fuck the shit refs, too. They should be forced to officiate in the Uzbekistani 2nd division on ploughed fields. See how the happy clappy Coca-Cola-global-McDonald's-game-with-all-the-naughty-fouling-nasty-men-players looks when some bad loser aims a rocket launcher at your stupid red-card-waving cunt face.

Frankly, if the USA had been knocked out, I would have liked to see them wage nuclear war on Sepp Blatter and Michel Platini in particular, and FIFA in general.

Tip: if you want to be part of the World Cup - be good at football: don't send some incompetent twat to ruin games for everyone else.

Germany deserved to win, it was clear. The goal from England was clear too but Germay was a lot better.

That was what Neuer saw:

Of course you are.

As for England... well where do we even start. I'm happy that Germany played so well, they really deserved the win and took it in style. Some lovely moments, beautiful flowing attacking football with some wonderful bits of flair.

England were an embarrassment. There's just not the level of talent being produced any more by the Premier League (which, by the way, is 65% foreign) but even then, the players which are present are clearly not being used properly.

Anyway, I'm sure nothing will change and England will fail to qualify for the Euros. They certainly don't deserve to.

Another scandal now in Argentina - Mexico, a clear off-side. Atrocious. There is no cheat from a player here, there's a terrible lineman. :?
Terrible.

soccer should at least add a goal judge if they don't do instant replay. bad ref mistakes should not make such big turns in the game

I agree. There are mistakes (that is normal) and atrocities like this one or the england clear goal. Anyway, this theme is old and has been discussed a lot of years and stills the same.
