NO NO NO!!! We'd have one as white as snow!
They had a black president?!    :rotflmao1: :rotflmao2:
There have been quite a few blacks as Presidents in movies and TV shows. Fifth Element, Deep Impact, and 24, for example. Obama has said Morgan Freeman in DI was his inspiration. :D

It's high time they made an impersonal one, a general point of view. People are getting tired of this kind of movies without innovating at all.

Hellboy 2 is really cool, I have it :)

2012 I just saw some trailers & it seems weak, is the kind of movie who depends more of visual effects to make success

I like Roland Emmerich, but since The day after tomorrow that he don't make more movies so good, Stargate was his best movie in my opinion!

The New Moon

I liked this movie very much. Everything was beautiful. Every frame was beautiful. Not so much people are able to understand my sorrow: it's a pity that James was killed in the first part - he was awesome, much more better than sickly-sweet Pattinson. :yuk: Director is genius: everything is to the point, nothing unnecessary, no long dialogues, it's looking in a burst of inspiration.
Jackob pumped iron - it was pleasant to look at him, even for me, though I have never liked such guys. When he took off his T-shirt in the scene with a motorbike the female part of the hall breathed rapturously - and after that everybody laughed, it was so funny )) :D
The werewolfs were painted very natural and ... scary. If I would meet such wolf in the forest I would stant on my place like in front of truck with no ability to move...
And I cried, yeah. I want to watch it one more time )) :)

I have just finished reading the book today so I think I will watch it pretty soon, but first I have to watch Twilight since when I tried to watch it for the first time it was so boring that I couldn't stand it anymore. I think I will have to give it a 2nd chance. I must be the only girl on earth who has not seen it yet.

Yes, people are used to think that this saga is oriented towards teen girls... I think that the reason of it is Pattinson :) But my opinion is: every kind of girls and even guys can find something for her/him in this story (especially in books) - the question is wish to do this... It's just another love story, and love is eternal theme for books, movies, etc.

It could've been the love story for everyone if the actors could show even a tiniest bit of emotion. There's no chemistry whatsoever between them, so I found it impossible to care about this couple. In fact, I wanted the emo vampire, whatever was his name, to die horribly after watching 2 scenes with him.

And talking about bad movies - I've seen Transformers 2 with Rifftrax commentary. This is officially the worst movie I've ever seen, and that includes Uwe Boll movies, Van Helsing, Eragon, Twilight, Matrix sequels, Star Wars prequels and Plan 9 From Outer Space. Everyone who was involved in making this movie should not be allowed to make movies again. Nothing in it made any sense (especially the geography) and the only bright spot was seeing the actor who plays Dwight Schrute in The Office for about half a minute.

everyone? so acters that have won critics choice awards should not be able to make movies?

do you watch these movies with a stick up your ass?

interesting how some can get a great deal out of a movie and you manage to get nothing out out them.

why are you watching all thse sequals when you did not get the first ones?

I haven't seen the Twilight sequel, I was talking about the first one. I'll wait for Rifftrax guys to get their hands on this one, just like I did with the first movie. They turned the first one into a great comedy.

Same with Transformers 2 - I waited for the Rifftrax to come out, but even with it the movie is horrible. I was waiting for some good jokes to come and they were few.
I actually started to get the stupidity overload somewhere in the middle, turned it off for a few hours and continued after doing something else.

Honestly, wasn't it painful for you to watch Johhn Torturro speaking about robot's scrotum?

With transformers, I was more focused on some other parts of the movie than dialogue or robots balls ( not sure why they said scrotum, thing just had the nuts). These movies are for visual and audio experiences to me. I can also write whole lists of concepts that from the movie, they perhaps the movie did not explore so well, but are good ones to explore. For me a movie is more about what I make of it then what was really there, a movie is a about a person interacting with it and thinking and feeling. The soundtrack of the movies is something I really go for. It’s the type of movie I would just see in a theater for escapism and for the soundtrack. I think a movie can be anything a person wants it to be. I'ts about how someone goes about the expirence that matters

I definitely enjoy the mindless entertainment movies where the whole plot consists of stuff blowing up - like GI Joe for example, or Roland Emerich's disaster porn. Even the first Transformers movie had some redeeming qualities, because giant robots fighting each other was sort of cool. The second Transformers movie is an insult to watcher's intelligence, IMO.

I’m thinking emotion is more important than intellect. The emotional reaction of a person shows more about the person watching the movie than the movie itself.

I think that everyone would really describe different parts, seems people that don't like the movies mention a few beevis and buthead jokes and skip any part of the movie that could have emotional value. One of the things I most remember about the first movie is the guy having the web cam chat with his wife and baby and then losing the signal, that is a moment of emotion that has real life value to me because we have soldiers that actually can experience related situations, not with robots, but with real combat. I think the movies have moments and concepts that people should be able to feel and empathies with. If someone gets bored easily and just wants to kill a character or not become involved, I think is more on them then the movie. I think its valid to say transformers have a lot on nonsense and that more should be focused on developing other aspects than it did, but it also has its moments.

When Sam dies is one i imagine for people that have had people die in their life. Kind of have to be in the moment for this kind of thing because of course he is going to live, but in the moment, if a person lives in the moment, I think they should be able to share empathy with parents losing a child or a relationship losing their partner. With the war analogy, it could be a soldier losing a fellow soldier in combat.

Well, it's director's and writer's job to make the viewer care about the characters. If they fail, then all the dramatic moments are wasted because the audience doesn't care whether the character lives or dies and that's the case with Transformers movies. They are really only about the explosions and big robots kicking the shit out of each other.

If I want to see a good war movie where I do care about the characters, I'd watch Saving Private Ryan, Black Hawk Down, Full Metal Jacket or Stalingrad.

I don't need a director to do something for me to care for a human or about a death or about certain actions. For me it’s an emotional thing when a character makes bad choices or good choices. I care for both protagonists and antagonists and about the choices and motives that they have. I think its has a real world connection to actually care for things.

Of course other movies set things up better. But I think people show more of themselves when things are not executed as well from the moviemakers. If it’s an issue of humanizing people, I think it’s the viewer’s job to go where the movie fails to do so.

I think when people think more in metaphor and about relating situations to other situations that can help put a better perspective. Perhaps with approach requires a wide range of reference, but for me its makes things more enjoyable.
