so, you dont like muse? haha
I do like them, matt bellamy is a great guitar player ( he make his own guitars , he has one guitar with and IPOD built it, and he plays and make some noises with the IPOD, is fucking crazy) and producer, the muse has to be one of the great bands of this new millenium (yes I know they released his first album in 1999, but still) , when a metal band says "Muse- like" I understand "we are using and abusing synths" that´s pretty much it.

I'm sure they are a great band in many aspects, but I never got into their music, nor will I now to know how this MP's project is gonna be

No, I said it right . "Nor will I now" was meant like I'm not gonna listen to Muse, not even to see how this MP's project it's going to be

Muse is a very cool group. And they made a big step in shaping rock in nowadays. i would call them U2 of 2000s
You can try them, although they are of course limited to rock form like short songs, verse, chorus, vers, chorus and so on. But that is "radio rock".

I never had a chance to see them live.

Especially their first 2 CD were good.

Call me metalhad or something similar, but I never really got into rock as a whole. My taste goes from Hard Rock onwards :)

My music taste has just gotten bigger and bigger, 2010 was a big year for me when it comes to music discoveries. I got into electronic music a lot and Coldplay revived my taste in pop rock.

that the spirit I like..
why only hear two or three bands when there are a handful of great music out there? and yes..without double bass pedal a song can be good too.
my music taste has grown over the years but somewhat backwards... I started with stratovarius (what else? hehe) and make my way to , Helloween, Gamma Ray, Metallica, Black Sabbath, Led Zep, Cream, Beatles, the Rolling Stones, and Elvis of course. There are a few modern bands I respect like Coldplay and Muse.

Electronic music is just awful, soulless and generally crap (exception - ambient stuff). Coldplay isn't bad but, meh.
And don't start telling me I listen to only metal, 'cause that's not true at all.

I've listened to a lot of jazz lately too but only found a few artists that stand out, like Miles Davis.

And Balu, if that's what you think then..Fine.
There's great stuff in both ambient and the more dancable electronic music.

Ah, jazz is great too. I rare listen to jazz though, but I really love most Jan Johansson albums (Jens' father). How underrated.

Well, show me something dancable and emotional.

Depends on what you consider emotional really. Only emotion that comes to mind when listening to dance music is happines, but i'm not sure if that counts in your book.

Anything that is REAL, not some computer generated stuff.
Emotions can be in electronic music though (example: Kevin Moore's solo project), but not in dancable. But it might just be that I hate dancing.

Electronic music is some hard genre to understand, as many people like you feels the same way because of the fact "it is not technically real music". What can I say? I enjoy some of the compositions they do: They can be quite unexpected you know?

About Coldplay, I don't care what you guys say, but :puke:

Some might be good, but to express feelings through electronic music is a lot harder, so only great musicians succeed in that, and most electronic 'musicians' are on the same level of a monkey throwing his shit at a xylophone.

But it's getting boring, and Rebel's new thread is about a band so shitty I won't ever bother trolling it. :/
