Good gravy! They went on tour around germany a lot. Spanish guys love german girls.

They even went to finland. Quite a yarn!

Yeah, they toured a lot and were pretty well known in Germany around the Senderos de Traición-time, I recorded a few shows and videos which were shown on TV on VHS. I remember I was as proud as can be as a teenager when I saved enough money to spend it on their En Directo package which was horribly priced in that one shop but nowhere else to be found... now I even can't watch the VHS anymore, but I still have them
Unfortunately I was too young to see the band live before they split, but at least I managed to see Bunbury live during his first solo tour/album back in 1998, that was a blast!
Nowadays I only listen to them infrequently, didn't even notice when they reunited back in 2007 for a SA tour or something like that.

Double gravy! Nowadays is not that fun, since you can get all you want on the internet. There's barely a store which sells obscure records for you to be proud of.

I was a late bloomer with the whole thing, I had two friends who would talk about Heroes all day long but I didn't get what the fuss was all about, I remember they argued about the lyrics a LOT, something about sand, tides and that you cannot have the sea pour out to drown you. So I didn't liked them until some years later when I heard sirena varada by accident.

They came to guatemala on the 2007tour so I could have gone there with some effort. I figured it was the only chance I had but the thing was terribly overpriced. I think it wasn't the same, the essence was off. Bunbury went full gay for mariachis and corridos on his solo career after a while. Nothing wrong with that, but it's not like the old times with William Blake, droplet-skin, the ganges river, light-ink, symbolism and all that other cool stuff.

:luv1: sirena varada has always been my favourite besides mar adentro and hologramas. The lyrics have been remarkable, for me they had the deepest and most poetic lyrics ever - seriously, no band ever managed to touch me with their lyrics like they did. I bet for a native Spanish they seem cheesy as hell, but for me they were heaven  I never learned Spanish, but I still remember pretty much all of them and can sing along (just don't remember what they mean ). I spent hours writing down the Spanish lyrics and the English translations from the booklet or tried to translate them myself by dictionary back then - had too much free time as a teenager, I guess

I didn't follow Bunbury's solo career after his first soloalbum tbh, don't have a clue what he made out of it - I totally turned to metal at that time ;) But yeah, I saw vids from the SA tour, felt like it lacked the spirit somehow, no more wild rawness and sweat and cigarettes and charisma on stage...

The first power metal song I heard was technically "Through the Fire and the Flames" (played a lot of guitar hero). But the first song that got me into power metal was Hammerfall's "Blood Bound".

Don't forget Enrique's legendary bulge, it was unexplicably gone in the last tour. I watched all the 2007 tour video just to find out it was not as penis-centric as the band's earlier tour videos. I was dissapointed, to say the least. I've made a picture to illustrate my worries.

Even when you take heed of the pants-fabric and flexibility, it doesn't really explain the alarming rate at which his Lotus Flower is withering away, if I could use such language. It's almost half of the original size, a sad event all around :( ...

Either way, I'm listening to those old records. I had forgotten how pretty they were.

But  all german girls have great diets and are therefore gorgeous and strong. I would have lunch with a german girl ANY day of the week.

Although I am not familiar with this gentleman, I find any shrinkage of the genitals to be alarming, and a call for action. Why can't he just shove a mango down there?? I'm starting a petition... :nervous:
