Because it's not from Microsoft or Apple, it has some functions which other players don't have, it has the toolbar mode, which I love, and finally and most importantly, because I say so!

You obviously haven't read the first couple of posts, including the one with screenshots.
Down with iTunes!

and why is that JetAudio so good?

Because it reads lot of formats no one uses like ogg or ape
(And besides, VLC reads both of these)

ogg might be better than MP3, but MP3 is still more popular..

Well, maybe you don't use them so much, which doesn't mean other people don't use them. That's probably because you listen to metal cds, but most classical music cds you find as torrents are in ape format, which has better quality than mp3. Die-hard music fans who prefer quality go for ape much more than mp3s, even if mp3s are more popular because they are easier to handle.
In terms of audio format conversion, the best program by far is dbpoweramp.

And who are you to say exactly which kind of music I listen to ? I listen to (and BUY) classical music as well as metal and mp3 encoding is good enough for me (though my ears might be a litte less sensitive than yours to sound quality).

WinAmp 5, but I like WinAmp 2 much more... I might change back...

Wow, relax! I wasn't
saying what kind of music you listen to. I was just saying that there is the possibility that you listen to non-classical music more often (I know
I listen to metal much more often than classical music). And that might be the reason why you don't use ape so much, that's all, I wasn't attacking you.

So Winamp 2 is better than 5? Interesting. What are the advantages of version 2 over version 5?
Since we are talking about players, for non-dvd video files (avi, mpg, etc.) I use Crystal Player 1.95. It's a nice little player with lots of features.

WinAmp 2 is faster than 5. That is an advantage. The only reason why I use 5 now, is that some video files can be seen only in WinAmp5. But for audio, 2 is much better.

yep i am, my nick is metalc0r3
but atm this audioscrobbler isn't working.. it doesn't submit the songs. when i open the plugin configuration, the last "last response" i get is "UNREADABLE"
perhaps there's some problem with my firewall..
EDIT: ok there IS a problem with the firewall.. i've just turned it off and now audioscrobbler is working.. perhaps i should check the firewall configuration

Control Panel/Add Remove Programs/Add Remove Windows Components, and find WMP.
It only transforms WMP10 back to WMP9.
I have changed to Nero ShowTime player! It's fast, easy to use and looking good.

gee... I use Media Player. I know it's bad, but I'm too lazy to change my habits... the one thing I hate on the windows media player is the shuffle option. it has no difference on my system...

hahaha everybody 'changes" to other audio players (and programs in gral). That's why we (with my brother and sister) have our pc so full with crap. We KEEP stuff in our computer. Don't ask me what audio players do we have, but the one we always USE is Winamp, of course.
But when it comes the case, we use another.
