I'm not really an atheist... well, not a confessing Christian either. I'm not 100% sure what I believe, but I certainly don't believe in a neverending torment in a lake of fire for any person. I believe that the original Christian texts, for example, did not teach this doctrine, but that it was later inserted in the belief system so that people would convert out of fear. I do think that eventually we all will reap what we sow, but I don't think anyone is going to suffer forever. I know you'd disagree here but beliefs are beliefs, everyone has their own ones and I guess none of them can be factually proven.

This, however, has no connection to the ice ages. I'm not an expert, but in case I remember correctly, some of the key causes are changes in the composition of the atmosphere and in Earth's orbit around the Sun.

The rason I mentined Miditek is that he is from the South&the CofC has milions of members in the South, so their fanaticism is well-known. Some even classify tem as a cult. Its weird---we were allowed to wear make-up, cuss, war mini-skirts, drink---I meanthe wildest sexiest girls in our area wre CofC membes yet, still tere was that belief that only-ONLY-Us were going to Heaven. Similar to the cults like Davidians&Peoples Temple(Which branched off the main religion that the CofC did!). There is a saying,"hard-headed Church of Christ" which is considered an insult in my neck-of-the-woods. But, CofC are like Catholics in which they do not believe in divorce, or abortion---I mean, females can fuck around all they want to, as long as they don't get caught! Oh, I could say alot about that hypocritical nonsense, but I won't.

Yeah, that cosmic beach part is awesome! I remember being moved by that scene too. My interpretation is that the beach isn't real either. It looks too perfect to be real. Now I definitely have to watch it another time. The book is worth reading too, I remember it being a bit deeper and philosophical.

I also thought the brillant&rich scientist(who had Cancer) who helped finance the project in the movie was a very cool person. He reminded me of Stephen Hawking, the famous physicist with Muscular Dystrophy who made a great name for himself despite his disability.

I don't mind at all because it is true that is what CofC people believe. That is why I don't have any use for that particular religion any longer---my parents still belong&a fair share of relatives but, we just do not discuss religin&all is well.

Alot of Nostradamus writings are fake anyway. Especially the ones that were claimed to be written later. I don't think many truly take the writings seriously. Like I told Carcass, Nostradamus might've been under the influence, or something. Like the people who think that the DaVinci Code is real story.
I remember when the year 2000 commenced&alot of people were expecting calamity because of what Nostadamus predicted--that should have convinced everyone that Nostadamus just made alot of guesses---guess at the future enough&you are bound to hit something!
