Well their music can be heard in the radio and even in TV at times (Rise got to be a part of a sports documentary for example)
They are also getting quite good crowds in here.
Nice to hear. Is there a lot of Metal Music in Finnish TV and Radio? I've always been told that especially in northern Europe the mainstream media is much more open-minded when it comes to metal.
Well some.
Heavy metal fans are a whole type of people around here. It is in same kind of position as hip hop and rap is in America.
We have metal stuff coming from almost any radio station but way too seldom. The best radio station is definately Radio Rock which is quite metal based and some hard rock too.
And then there are sports events which are filled with metal and hard Rock (Ice Hockey and Floorball matches for example)
Most of metal videos make it in TV too.
The only problem is that there is so much metal coming and out that not ever band can get heard.
Better than in germany where the mainstream media doesn't give a shit about you if your name isn't either Metallica, Rammstein, Scorpions or Oomph. Honestly, you won't find any Metal here on Mainstream Radio or TV apart from those. All that MTV show is this Bullet for My Valentine, Korn, Slipknot, Metallica and Linkin Park Crap. And if you find a documentary about Metal it is either about Wacken or about how Pagan Metal Fans are all fascists. However, there is a television channel called iMusic1. They show some Metal. They show it in their normal program, they have something calld "Hard'n'Heavy hour" IIRC and they have a Show called RockInvasion which is about Rock and Metal. But that is really about it-
