POWER QUEST To Introduce New Singer At London Gig - Aug. 25, 2009
U.K. metallers POWER QUEST will support former NIGHTWISH singer Tarja Turunen on October 19 at O2 Academy Islington, London, England. This will be POWER QUEST's first show with the band's as-yet-to-be-announced new frontman and rhythm guitarist.
Commented keyboardist Steve Williams: "We are looking forward to introduce our new lineup in London and are planning two warm up shows beforehand, one of which will be in Southampton on October 18. Also, there is more news that we will be revealing very shortly."

POWER QUEST: More Lineup Changes Announced - Sep. 20, 2009
U.K.-based metallers POWER QUEST have issued the following update:
"Following on from the departures of long-standing members Steve Scott (bass) and Alessio Garavello (vocals) earlier in 2009, it is with great sadness that we bring you the news that Andrea Martongelli (guitar) and Francesco Tresca (drums) have also decided to call time on their tenure in POWER QUEST.
"Andrea has recently taken on a lot more teaching work in Italy and has also got a lot of work to do with his band ARTHEMIS and, as a result, felt he wouldn't be able to dedicate enough of his time to POWER QUEST as he would have liked and has done in the past. Francesco came to the conclusion that it would not make sense to have a drummer based in Italy when he realized that the new guys were more than likely going to be U.K.-based. He is now teaching drums regularly in Italy as well as working with his band HYPNOTHETICALL."
Founding POWER QUEST member Steve Williams commented: "Well, it's certainly been an eventful year! That's probably the understatement of the year as well! It was a wrench to see Steve and Alessio leaving earlier in the year but to hear from 'Doc' and 'Checco' that they were stepping down as well, it felt like being hit by a sledgehammer! However, I must point out that after working with these guys for so many years now, the split is perfectly amicable. Friendships have been formed that will last a lifetime and I wish the guys all the very best for the future and I look forward to hanging out with them again in Italy very soon!"
Your very last chance to catch POWER QUEST with Alessio, Andrea and Francesco will be on Saturday, September 26 at Metalfest which is being held at JB's in Dudley, U.K.
POWER QUEST's new lineup will be revealed on September 28.

POWER QUEST Announces New Lineup - Sep. 27, 2009
U.K-based metallers POWER QUEST have announced their new lineup. It is as follows:
Pete Morten - Vocals
Andy Midgley - Gutar
Ben Randall - Guitar
Paul Finnie - Bass
Steve Williams - Keyboards
Rich Smith - Drums
According to a press release, "First addition to the now [entirely] U.K.-based six-piece is vocalist Pete Morten, who is also known from his guitar job in THRESHOLD. Pete is an extremely talented vocalist and brings his own style to the unique POWER QUEST sound."
"To recruit a singer similar to Alessio's [Garavello; former POWER QUEST singer] style was never an option, when we were looking for a strongly skilled singer with his own personality. Pete is just the man for it!" comments Steve.
The first of our new guitarists is 21-year-old Andy Midgley. He will take care of the rhythm parts but will also be blasting out some solos too!
Behind the drum kit is Derby-based sticksman Rich Smith, an extremely talented drummer, Rich has been a part of the U.K. metal scene for more than ten years.
Replacing Andrea was never going to be an easy task, but Ben Randall will show the fans, together with his twin shredder Andy, that the new team is ready to strike in the POWER QUEST tradition.
At the tender age of 16, Ben made it to the final of International Guitar Idol in 2008 where he was voted "most promising young guitarist" from over 750 contenders.
Completing the lineup on bass guitar is Paul Finnie, a close member of the POWER QUEST family for many years, who's now taking the chance to step into the spotlight.
The all-new POWER QUEST will be back on the road next month. You'll be able to catch the group at the following shows:
Oct. 17 - Derby, The Vic Inn
Oct. 18 - Southampton Firehouse
Oct. 19 - London Islington Academy (main support for TARJA)
Sorry guys, this totally passed me by,
