Edit: They are showing a film now (Nicko I hope you are taping it) called "I don't want to live" It is about a woman who gets raped by an evil dwarf and giving birth to an evil satanic child who spreads mayhem wherever he goes. I think this could possibly be one of the shittiest film ideas ever!

YEah they are making a catwoman movie with Halle Berry. :(

You didn't miss anything with that dwarf film. It was pretty shite.

So, I just got done watching spiderman, pretty good. But there were a few things I didn't like. In the comics I don't remember him shooting webs out of his wrists, but out of cartridges. Also I think the spent too much time on Mary Jane and not enough on Spiderman. (But this is just stupid fanboy gripes.) Overall it was a good film.

man that sucks, no offence to Halle Berry but catwoman is very, very white!! Just a PC stunt if you ask me!!>=(

no he didnt shoot them out of his wrists, but apparently the shooters he created were too big to fit under the skin tight costume used in the film, so they had to adapt it. I mean they even changedhow he got his super powers!!

Agreed about Mary Jane, they miscast Kirsten Dunst to play her, and got her all wrong. She reminded me more of Felicia Hardy not Mary Jane.

And don't get me started on the new Green goblin costume!!! >=( >=(

Ringu is the Japanese name for it.

And I agree about Dunst. Although I think the problems came more from the story than the actress. She was obviously written to be a bit vacuous but then to turn into a nic person, but they went too far. She did indeed remind me of Felicia Hardy.

You know what pisses me off. I didn't see Stan Lee. I saw him in Hulk (With Lou Ferrigno) I saw him in daredevil. But I missed him in this one. I will have to watch it again.

haha i dont think he's in Spiderman. Could be right about Dunst and the whole character thing.
Another thing that annoyed me about the Hulk is that they apparently cut out a scene where Lou ferrigno, in his security guard role, comes face to face with the hulk, and apparently they just stare each other in the eye in some sort of tribute to the series from back in the 70's. Bastards cut it out though!

Is Ringu the japanese name? soes that translate into Ring?

Maybe the Ferrigno bit will be on the DVD. (Not that that would encourage me to buy it) And to answer your question, yes. (I think) Shurik is a bigger fan than me. He will tell you for sure. Also Kaoru (and I think Jicco too) is Japanese.

Ringu is a Japanese film and The Ring is an american remake. There is also Ringu 2 and Ringu 0 - sequel and prequel. I liked american remake more - much scarier than japanese movie but japanese movies have their share of creepy parts, especially the scene in the beginning of Ringu 2 with girl in mental hospital and scene in Sadako's house. IMO Ringu 2 is scarier than first part.

I have seen it Taim

@Nicko yeah apparently there are some Japanese Trailers on the second disc as hidden extras. I can see the icon that lets you access them. But I can't get to them with my dvd remote. And the only explainations I have found say "Click the icon" Which is no help at all considering my pc does not have a dvd drive

I just got through watching final Destination on channel 4.

Hey Nicko, you might know this. Did they say they were going to show the Ninth Gate? I wasn't paying attention because C4's annoying Irish announcer gets on my tits. And I can't check my on screen info cos NTL sucks.

I agree. I've seen better. I remember watching it when I was younger. Wasn't too impressed then, but I did like the death scenes. some nice special effects there
