On albums they are both fine, but I still maintain that in a live environment, Edu Falaschi can't compare to Andre Matos. His voice sounds weak and thin like a Nigerian on a 17th century slave ship.

On "Temple of Shadows", Edu sings a few "duets" with Kai Hansen on "Temple of Hate", and Hansi from BG on "Wings of Destination". Their voices sound much fuller than Edu (like Tolkki on Thanksgiving). Just listen to these songs and the clips above and tell me what you think (maybe it just sounds that way to my ears?)
I know that Matos can sing. I just don't like his voice. Edu isn't worlds best singer. But I like his sounds, also live. It's just like TK. He hasn't got the fullest, strongest voice live, but I like it. I like them both more than Matos.

Yes... that's why I think comparing singers is pointless, I mean, for example saying Matos is better than Edu, or Kiske is better than Deris (a comparison that makes me mad everytime! But I am not going to get into that right now  ). Each singer has their own style, sure some may be more "technically gifted" than others, but that doesn't mean they are better. It all comes down to what you as a listener like. And it sure takes guts to get up there and sing, I know I couldn't do it!

I agree 100%! I like a singer because of his sound, not his skills. :)

Manticora fans! Check this out:
MANTICORA to release 7th full length album in September!

Longstanding Danish metal band MANTICORA have completed
the recordings of their 7th full length album, “Safe”, at
Jailhouse Studios, once again produced and mixed under the
guiding hands of Tommy Hansen (known for Jorn Lande,
Helloween, Pretty Maids a.o.).

Following the successful two-part “Black Circus” albums
(released in 2006 and 2007 on now defunct Locomotive
Music), “Safe” will see the band exploring a darker and heavier
side of their songwriting than in recent years, and contrary to
the simplicity of the album cover (a black/white cover only
showcasing the band-symbol) “Safe” is filled with high-octane
technical power-thrash.

The songs on “Safe”, including the 14 minute long title track
(Manticora’s longest song to date):

1. In The Abyss Of Desperation
2. Silence The Freedom
3. Complete
4. From The Pain Of Loss ( I Learned About The Truth)
5. A Lake That Drained
6. Carrion Eaters
7. Safe
8. Embryonic Man (bonus track Japan)

Upon renewing their deal for Japan with Stay Gold / Art Union
Records for the release of the album, Manticora have signed
with US based label Nightmare Records for the rest of the
World. The releases in Europe and North America have been
set for September 20th and 21st respectively.

Also, Manticora has signed with Burrn! Music / Shinko Music
Publishing for sub-publishing in Japan and with Enorm Music
for sub-publishing in the rest of the World.

In September 2010 Manticora will embark on a headliner tour,
presented by Rock Hard Magazine, throughout Europe. Support
on the tour will come from Norwegian power/prog band Divided
Multitude.

The dates confirmed so far (more to follow):

September 24 2010 - Markthalle, Hamburg, Germany
September 25 2010 - Turock, Essen, Germany
October 01 2010 - Bastard Club, Osnabrueck, Germany
October 02 2010 - The Rock Temple, Kerkrade, Holland
October 03 2010 - De Pul, Uden, Holland
October 04 2010 - Nouveau Casino, Paris, France
October 08 2010 - EventStage, Zizers, Switzerland
October 09 2010 – Mephisto Club, Alessandria, Italy
October 11 2010 - Spinnerei, Traun, Austria
October 12 2010 - Reigen, Wien, Austria
October 13 2010 - Randal Club, Bratislava, Slovakia
October 14 2010 - Crazy Mama, Budapest, Hungary
October 29 2010 - The Rock, Copenhagen, Denmark
:D :D :D!!!

It is a great DVD! I love Ralf Scheppers (although I don't like his new material) in his clothes and this setlist was great (Heading for Tommorrow is my favourite Gamma Ray song)

Hell Yeah comparing to Heading for the East is boring

My last CD's:

Helloween - Rabbit don't come easy
Queensryche - Tribe

Also a good one.
Apollos performance on some song (Head up High, Mercenary Man and I am the Anger) is not that good but the rest is amazing. And a lot of nice extras too.

Matos' albums just are not well written. It's got nothing to do with his voice, the music just isn't nearly as exciting or interesting as it is on Rebirth and after.

Also, Winds of Destination might be my favorite duet, ever.

My only complaint about this DVD is that it's too short!

I wanted to get this DVD for a long time, finally found it. Heard/read many good things about it. Looking forward to watching it, maybe today.

Just got the new Helloween, Firewind and Star One. Helloween is fantastic, Firewind is typical Firewind (AKA, I don't remember any of it) but it still sounds good.

I am scared to hear Star One. I loved the first Star One, but I absolutely hated what I heard from the samples.

Seventh Wonder - The Great Scape (preordered)
Malmsteen - Relentless (what a fantastic album)
James LaBrie - Static impulse
Stratovarius - Darkest hours EP
...Faster than light, higher than the sky, stronger than steel...We´re the legions of the Twilight...

It's like..Metalcore but only..It doesn't suck. James sounds like James and then there's this swedish guy doing growling vocals. It's a very solid album.

All of the songs are on Youtube also i think.

That's why: I've heard one song and it didn't convince me, and for the record I don't like LaBrie at all, but being the one that sang in almost every record DT has, one starts to get used to him :?
