Well, we had a 20 pages long thread about Kiske Jokes and spam about Kiske (a lot of random shit) and that guy, I think he was from spain, read the thread. He was one of those Kiske Fanboys and at the same time a huge Maiden fanboy. He got all pissed of and we had a discussion with him. And at some point he said something along the lines of "Now I know why Maiden Fans have more class than Helloween Fans" and "Maiden Fans would never bash the former singer if the band!" (with much worse grammar". The first line is hilarious in itself but the 2nd line is just wrong. A lot of Maiden fans I know regulary bash both D'Ianno and Blaze.icecab21 wrote:care to explain? otherways that post is completly uselessThat bit about Iron Maiden reminds me about a funny thing that happened with a Iron Maiden fan on the Helloween Forum XD

the whole bashing thing is amusing. Then we get these people that think things should only be done if they like the result.

We wouldn't bash him or his music. We just made jokes like the time-line about him posted earlier.

Would it surprise any of you if I said I LOVED D'Ianno and Blaze's voices?Ragehead91 wrote:Well, we had a 20 pages long thread about Kiske Jokes and spam about Kiske (a lot of random shit) and that guy, I think he was from spain, read the thread. D'Ianno mostly because Killers is an amazing album, not sure if it's D'Ianno or not, but I like his voice.
Blaze though, his version of The Trooper live, and Futureal, *salivate*

I didn't say every Maiden fan. I said a lot of Maidens fans. Of course there are also fans who like both D'Ianno and Blaze.Rebel wrote:Would it surprise any of you if I said I LOVED D'Ianno and Blaze's voices?Ragehead91 wrote:Well, we had a 20 pages long thread about Kiske Jokes and spam about Kiske (a lot of random shit) and that guy, I think he was from spain, read the thread. Although you should bash Di'Anno about his vocals. Remember Tomorrow is one of the nicest Iron Maiden songs in my opinion, but his original vocals just ruin it.
I never liked Blaze either, although he worked wonders on the Led Zeppelin tribute album The Music Remains the Same...

I like D'Ianno or Di'Anno or however he is spelled. It is like Jani Liamatini or whatever he is spelled. I can't spell his last name.
Re: Does Helloween have the worst fanbase, ever?
Maiden and Helloween are about the same to me, I like everything that they do, I will admit there are albums I listen to more then others, however I still love them all.

Well I guess that makes 2 of ushiro23 wrote:LOL guess I'm an Iron maidentard then, I love that band

About Di Anno, I don't mind him. Blaze, don't like his voice at all. There were some good songs on the X Factor and Virtual XI albums, but I think he butchered Dickinson era songs live. I'm sure old Strato/Kotipelto Forum members will remember my BLAZE SUCKS signature, which was of course partly a joke, but definitely not a Blaze fan.
Helloween, I am also a lot like you in liking pretty much everything they do. Ok, I am a Deris fangirl, I'll admit it

Re: Does Helloween have the worst fanbase, ever?
Just based on my previous policies of vocalists I enjoy.Ragehead91 wrote:I didn't say every Maiden fan. I said a lot of Maidens fans. (That I tend to enjoy more dynamic voices)
Re: Does Helloween have the worst fanbase, ever?
I just think both bands have made excellent decisions in the past regarding band members, as I said some albums are catchier then others to me however with both bands I love all of their albums.
Does that make me biased, hell yes it does but then again I'd rather be the guy who takes in a little of everything then to be the one who's cynical at everything and has maybe only three albums he listens to.
it's cool if no one likes the bands that I do, however in respect I would ask that others not make fun of those who do like that band.

I only hope that their next album will be better than the last one.
Re: Does Helloween have the worst fanbase, ever?
I personally loved the last album but then again you can't please everybody, are we at least both agreed that the last Helloween album kicked ass?

Just that he's Finnish, not a damn Italian!Ragehead91 wrote:It is like Jani Liamatini or whatever he is spelled. I can't spell his last name.

Nothing wrong with Italy though!

Anyway, an EP out of Masterplan would be traditional indeed. They have, after all, released an EP before each album. I don't know if those are that financially wise decisions though. I haven't bought a single one of them. Actually the only EPs I have are Taragon by Freedom Call, on the second CD of the Live Invasion album, and Queensrÿche's s/t.

Re: Does Helloween have the worst fanbase, ever?
Indeed. I also don't know how the EP's sold. The only one I bought from Masterplan was the Lost And Gone one from late 2006/Early 2007. I wonder why they haven't doen it yet.
Re: Does Helloween have the worst fanbase, ever?
Yes. I am listening to it right now. I think I like it more every time. Although lately I've been listening to Keeper Legacy a lot, especially the second CD. My Life For One More Day is just an awesome song.hiro23 wrote:I personally loved the last album but then again you can't please everybody, are we at least both agreed that the last Helloween album kicked ass?
Re: Does Helloween have the worst fanbase, ever?
With Iron maiden the only albums I don't listen to all that much are No prayer for the dying and dance of death, I mean I don't hate those albums they are just harder to get into then the others.
With Helloween the only ones I don't listen to that often are Chameleon(no surprise) and Ragehead will be laughing about this seeing as how I defended Kai's vocals, Walls of Jericho.

I'm listening to Wizard right now. Great german Power Metal bad. Sad that they're relatively unknown.
Re: Does Helloween have the worst fanbase, ever?
Same here! Maiden, the ones I never or very very rarely listen to are X Factor and Virtual XI.hiro23 wrote:

Babylon:yep, but just because we don't listen to those albums that often doesn't mean we think that at any point the band has sucked. They are just albums we can't get into

I listen to all Helloween albums. Each can be the number one each time I listen to it, even Chameleon and Walls of Jericho. ;O Every album is very personal and can be very good if you have the mood for it.

Then it seems I'm never in the mood for shitty vocals.
Re: Does Helloween have the worst fanbase, ever?
So you can't listen any Helloween album which was released after 1993?

I was refering to Kai Hansen's shitty voice. Andi Deris rules. He is a good singer weather you like it or not. He doesn't sound like Kiske but that doesn't make him bad. I can listen to Helloween from 1988 to 1992 and then from 1994 onwards.

Re: Does Helloween have the worst fanbase, ever?
What is your problem? Andi is a good singer. He isn't your high-pitched Kiske Clone! Helloween chose him because they wanted someone who sounded different. Someone unique. And can you name any singer who quite sounds like Deris? His voice can go from very soft and gentle to brutal and near-growling. And if you listen to the Helloween albums with Deris closely, you'll see that Deris manages to sound a little bit different on any records.
