'Ello!
I'm looking for something lighter, more relaxing albums, preferably some prog rock (instrumental is a +).

Any ideas?

Whether or not it relaxes you is your own god damn problem

Progressive? Try Dream Theater, Circus Maximus, or Porcupine Tree (this last one beign the lightest of the 3)

Here's a sneak peak of a proggy type of the track "Even" from my old friend David Carter, former guitarist with Wyzards and Glass Hammer.

Ah, thanks for the ideas! They were all useful, but I'm mostly looking for full albums of the same lighter, proggy style (Ayreon's Universal Migrator I is a great example).

Then something from early Rush would help :). But I have to tell you, it's hard to find a whole prog light album

Pink Floyd-wish you were here
Devin Townsend-Ocean machine (ki was taken already)
old porcupine tree is good and relaxing
Katatonia discouraged ones (not really prog)
Flower Kings are good prog
Spocks Beard fits the description, but I'm not a big fan
Falkenbach- (not really prog, but relaxing)
Liquid Tension Experiment
Spheric Universe experience-Mental Torments (the later albums lose the relaxing part and are heavier)
Timo Tolkki-Hymn to life (I love like three or four of the songs on the album, the rest are shit)
Queensryche-Empire is good too
Opeth-damnation

I don't know how proggy or how relaxing you're looking for, if you think jazzy is relaxing, then also check out planet x feat tony macalpine. Sometimes the assault of droning noise present in black metal is relaxing for some reason.

Ah, that's a lot of suggestions. I'm mainly looking for proggy stuff, but jazzy is fine too if I'm in the mood for it. And thanks for the suggestions! : >
