Been following this story since yesterday... I saw the first guy get out live, and saw the last one get out just a while ago. Incredible story of human endurance, ingenuity and perseverance.

I've also been following these developments closely.
My favorite part:
Others pulled out included Yonni Barrios, whose home life became an issue when his wife confronted a mistress who had also gone to the mine to keep vigil. His wife had refused to be there for the rescue, but the mistress did attend, giving Barrios a big hug.

Even serious events can have a bit of humor infused, such is the human condition. :)
Glad this all had a happy ending. I'm sure there is much celebrating going on right now in Chile, not just with the miners and their families, but people in that whole country. This is a story of bravery and heroism. Probably the fast food and beer business is booming right now down there! :D

You know that kind of an experience can be terrible since you may never be able to work again.

I wonder how it felt to be the last one picked up.

I've been following this since the beginning, well, all Spain.
These are the best news in a long time. I'm happy for this, really happy.

The last one out was Luis Urzua, the crew manager. He organized them and kept them going for the first 17 days after the collapse when they had no contact with the outside world. He was the boss down there, so it was his job to come out last having made sure all his men got out safely. Seems like a real strong character, he gave an interview right after coming out... reminded me of a sea captain.

The amount of thought and preparation that went into this whole operation is impressive.
