I never imagined that it would come to this
Well at least they did not break up.
And the rest of them have known eachother since they were kids so it is not likely that there will be any further member changes anytime soon.
But he was amazing. I hope they will find a proper replacement.

They have found a decent stand-in for Ilja already. His name is Asim Searah.
Kiuas was supporting Turisas live at Pakkahuone, Tampere, Finland yesterday Oct 29. 2010 with Asim Searah as vocalist.

Yes it was in the news that he will do the shows Ilja can't get to BUT he wasn't announced as the new vocalist.

After seeing this thread, I checked out the band on YT. The worst part of their music was the vocalist, so I'm happy about this.

What? No.
I just think that the vocalist was the least enjoyable part, and I'm happy, because now they might make music I really like.

I never said there was anything wrong with it. Music is subjective, and I hate this kind of between clean and harsh vocals, in my opinion they just didn't suit the music.

If you listened to the song it is not between the two but there are both instead

Yeah, but mostly it's some kind of inbetween stuff. Doesn't matter. It's power metal, it shouldn't have harsh vocals at all. This isn't crappy melodeath.

It is.
This is referred to as power metal everywhere. I was expecting something, that actually IS power metal. This is a lot closer to melodeath, which I hate.
Anyway, the vocalist can't compare to any of my favourites.

If you listen through their debut you might understand that they are mixing all genres and that Death is just one among Folk, Thrash, Symphonic, Power and other elements.
It is referred as PM since the singer sings with a clean voice most of the time but if you listen to Black Winged Goddess I don't think you can call this band PM after that.
