Dear Stratovarius Finnish fans,
May I kindly ask you for help with one grammar exercise - I need to put the verbs in the past form to the right sentence.
Thank you very much for your contribution, I am just lost with that:(Image[/img]

Yeah, that's a question I've been asking meself too, maybe Kosmo can answer:

Planning to go to Finland one of those days, I was wondering, do really people speak fluent english there or shall I be completetly lost without speaking finnish?

For some reason people here really know english, maybe it's the school system being so good or something.

As for fluent..I wouldn't say fluent, but good enough that you can understand what they are saying. Some people might struggle with pronounciation.
And as mayhem said older people might have a hard time speaking english since it wasn't in the schools yet.

Well our school system is pretty good and we have lots of things in English that are left untranslated like almost all movies and tv-shows. We have just subtitles and I really think it helps when even kids watching childrens programs listen to english.
