So it stops leaking out in other topics.
Just got my hands on his latest release, it's untitled, but referred to as "Happy Holidays". Sounds like Bucket found a new lead tone and is working back towards his more rock oriented style from 2005-2008, instead of the ambient/calmer stuff from 2008-2010

But seriously, I think I'm going to put together a sort of "Beginners Guide to Buckethead", I'm working on reviewing Happy Holidays right now though.

What are your thoughts on Population Override/Chicken Noodles/Thanatopsis style stuff?

The really early stuff, Bucketheadland and Giant Robot (And Bucketheadland 2) are so supremely entertaining, his sense of humor is more twisted than this forum's sometimes

Hehe, I just added a giant robot song at the end when you made a post.
This Thanatopsis cd is probably the one that stuck out at me.
http://travisdickerson.bandcamp.com/album/axiology

Well, the few first tracks did. Pretzel Logic. :luv1: :luv1:

This CD is interesting too. About Carl Sagans Book. :) :) :) :)
http://travisdickerson.bandcamp.com/alb ... ns-of-eden

As for population override/chicken noodles, I tried to listen to that stuff. The majority doesn't stick out too much(chickennoodles more so, I think?) because it is "jammy" as in a jam band. And I'm not too much of a fan of jam bands where they just hit record and jam. I guess that is how dragons of eden is a bit. They have a little main theme and then they jam it out for a while, then go back to the main theme. Thanatopsis too I guess? It has been a while since I listened to all of it. Yes, B-B-B-B-BBUCKETHEADLAND is a trip for any person who never listened to him. I remember hearing it over somebody's house...I had no idea what the fuck was going on. Could have been the marijuana. That was back in 2004. Something I never heard before. Drum machines, interludes, fantasy land, guitar shredding, robots. WHAT THE FUCK? :D :D Hard to get the real CD too.

Buckethead still sucks, but... I'm havin' an open-minded day today, so, convince me with a few songs that he doesn't!

How I'm gonna love this topic...

Whatever is good, just sorted into genres would be great.

Hmm they ARE good, but somehow they don't work for me alone, even though I'd love them as an instrumental parts of songs.

Me? Of course 8). But if you want an on-topic comment, I honestly find Buckethead's style "weird", and I'm not saying that's a bad thing, but to me is very experimental (if you wanna call it like that)
