Anacrusis are a rather unknown band from St. Louis. Very cool. You can download all their albums for free on their website.

One of the best metal albums ever. Awesome musicianship. People here are not going to like the vocals, but I think a lot of people could appreciate the music.
All of their albums are great.
Symbolic is absolutely fantastic, but I'm not so sure about the first ones, although the lyrics of Scream Bloody Gore are great. :D Another band I've lately been listening a lot to is Gojira. May take a while to sink in, but give it a try. The first half of their 2005 album From Mars to Sirius is awesome.

Farewell Nonino (Ástor Piazzolla).

Piazzolla composed this tango in memory of his father shortly after his death.

The viral video of the moment. Many people refer to it as the worst pop video in history.

Yup.

Here's an article about it... it's the product of something called the Ark Hit Factory.

http://www.bohemian.com/citysound/?p=7181
The answer is Ark Music Factory, a Los Angeles-based company operating as an industry hybrid of Maurice Starr and Jon-Benet Ramsey. Their casting calls are perfect bait for starry-eyed parents: “If you are a great singer without any material and you want to get discovered,” one reads, “then Ark Music Factory is looking for you.”

The formula is simple: They’ll fly your child between the specified ages of 13-17 to Los Angeles, write her a “hit,” record it in super-compressed Autotuned production, shoot an edge detection-overlay video and BAM! Maybe your kid can notch up a couple thousand YouTube views while you watch your dreams of being a pop-star parent percolate.
Yes, the music industry has hit rock bottom and started to dig.

True but with all the bad music out there it does make you really appreciate the good bands that are out there.

An illogical argument. That's like saying it's acceptable for child abuse to happen because it means that other kids have something to be happy about in comparison. Music is too precious to be so cynically exploited.

I suppose the time when someone introduces a program that actually writes the music for you (just select the lyrical theme and the key... actually never mind, it should be able to determine a suitable one just from you speech) is when it reached the inner core of earth.

And don't you dare tell me such a program already exists.

Curious to hear Rebecca Black say something other than Friday speak?

During a recent interview, Black opened up about her song Friday (above), as well as on the subject of cyberbullying.

Here's what she had to say about comments people have written about her on the Internet:

“Those hurtful comments really shocked me. At times, it feels like I’m being cyberbullied.”

And here's Rebecca Black on Friday, which her mother spent $2,000 to have produced:

“I didn’t write it at all. The other song was about adult love–I haven’t experienced that yet. Friday is about hanging out with friends, having fun. I felt like it was my personality in that song.”

Rebecca on her decision to keep Friday up on YouTube:

"I decided not to give the haters the satisfaction that they got me so bad I gave up."

And here's Rebecca on her upcoming acoustic version of Friday:

“I want to show people there’s more to me than they think."

We're sorry to hear you feel that you're being cyberbullied, Rebecca, but we're proud of you for not letting it get to you too much. We look forward to hearing the acoustic Friday!

Do U think Rebecca Black is being cyberbullied? Would U have kept Friday up on YouTube if it were your song?

Either way I love each and every one of the albums that I own, I think we can at least agree on that.
