I tried my best and here are the lyrics: there might be a couple of mistakes but it is ok in general!
I HAVE A RIGHT
Give me the right, to be heard, to be seen
to be loved, to be free; to be everything i need.
to be me, to be safe, to believe in something
I have a right, to be heard, to be seen
to be loved, to be free; to be everything i need.
to be me, to be safe, to believe in something
father there's little flower
beautiful and different all alone
all alone
Is it so dad, i'm not supposed
to make the world a new and be like you
am I you?
Give me the right, to be heard, to be seen
to be loved, to be free; to be everything i need.
to be me, to be safe, to believe in something
I have a right, to be heard, to be seen
to be loved, to be free; to be everything i need.
to be me, to be safe, to believe in something
Right to be heard, to be seen, to be loved
to believe
You made it clear right from the start
I am to take your sour heart within
once again
but i will never teach my son in bitter history
dried and cruel
'cos i'm not you!
I have a right, to be heard, to be seen
to be loved, to be free; to be everything i need.
to be me, to be safe, to believe in something
I have a right, to be heard, to be seen
to be loved, to be free; to have everything i need.
to be me, to be safe, to believe in something
give me the eyes so i see, give me ears so i hear
give me love so i know what love is
give me the freedom to think, to believe in something
I have a right, to be heard, to be seen
to be loved, to be free; to be everything i need.
to be me, to be safe, to believe in something
(narration)
So give me the gift to hear, to see
the love, the freedom; to trust the things i feel
to be right for the world you leave me,
give something
Give me the right, to be heard, to be seen
to be loved, to be free; to be everything i need.
to be me, to be safe, to believe in something
I have a right, to be heard, to be seen
to be loved, to be free; to be everything i need.
to be me, to be safe, to believe in something

well, the 1m 30s clips made me more disappointed in the album than the previews do.
I guess it's not for me, I just longed for an album that was closer to Unia or their earlier stuff.

Mmm... only "Only The Broken Hearts", "Shitload of Money" and Losing My Insanity" sound a bit interesting. Sonata are evolving in a very different way that some "old" fans expect from him, anyway, there are good compositions out, just that they don't seem Sonata Arctica's compositions.
The other fact is that The Days of Grays was saved from a big amount of reviews and critics from the people for songs like "Flag In The Ground" (a 1997's Song reedited for putting a fast song in the album) and now they put a reedited song called "Losing My Insanity", it's OK for me but just to point out that they've got 3 years to compose a solid and elaborated album, and the previews and "the single" don't show that amount of time to put great songs together. There are great compositions, but for me (and that's my opinion) it's not enough. Like it was not enough "Stratovarius" (2005) album, or the last Firewind album, or Edguy's "Tinnitus Sanctus".
Some people would blame me, I know, but the last good album was Unia, one of the most underrated Sonata's album. Still Sonata is one of the greatest bands of the finnish scene, but they've lost a bit their "spark".

sales speak louder than reviews
i don't know about reviews, the album did get plenty of 4/5 and above from many critics. the interesting thing is the emotion in some of the positive reivews vs the lack of emotion in nonpositive, but that is just how reviews go, people that connect connect and people that dont connect don't

Wah, don't get me wrong, if you read all my hell of phaagraph you'll know more or less what I was talking about. Don't highlight two words! xD.
The fact is that they evolved a lot since 2005, and that's Tony Kakko's mind, who's crazy and hiper imaginative, which is good for a band. But sometimes I could not understand why If you change in a more midtempo sound you've to maintain your CD with a double bass song, a reedited song on the two last albums.
In particular I've deffended a lot The Days of Grays because, despite of a lack of double bass songs, fast ones, that album was a solid album with many orchestral arrengaments. IMO "Juliet" has been one of the best SA's songs, anyway it was debatable. Unia was probably the album that changed in a way the mentality of the band, but it was a great progressive album with the most progressive and perfect song that SA has ever written: "Caleb". Those "different" two albums were yeah, different, but two solid and well argumented albums.
The thing that sounds me strange everytime that I hear the samples is that this hard-rock way CD is not a solid album, it has a lot of fragmentations between the develop of Sonata into a more midtempo and for example, a Cinderblox, which could be a good song, but will never remain anything.
Of course It will rock, because is a Sonata Arctica's album, I've been here the last 5 years and that album CAN'T be compared to Unia or TDoG, Stones is A LOT different, very different. Stones Grow Her Name is not a natural evolution of the last two albums, is a new experiment after that two albums, that is the reason that guides me to the conclusion that they are not a natural SA evolution songs. That is why it does not seem a solid album, it seems that is something appeard between 3 years of world touring, like a spark.

Honestly, while I'm not a fan of the album I can say that one great thing has been brought to the light from this album: I discovered Ari Koivunen's amazing Fuel for the Fire album. If only it was possible to actually find the album for a normal price, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

Re: SonataArctica - Stones Grow Her Name (new album)
So... I pirated the album (it's already out on TPB)
Just a few points I have to point out (hah!).
1. If you're expecting SA to play Ecliptica-Silence themed songs, you're a fucking retard. They changed their style and will not go back.
2. 50% of the album is shit. If there is one song that really stands out is Wildfire II. I was expecting Cinderblox to be better, but c'mon... really? I cannot possibly hold all of these why's.
3. Not sure if it's better or equal to Unia. Might be worse. Maybe a few more hears will change my mind.
4. Solos are lacking but when they show up they are amazing.
I give it a 5/10. Maybe I have to get used to this newly-themed album. It's completely different to what they played before, as if they are still experimenting/fucking with us.
