I really like this band too, especially their guitarist Syu. Every Stratovarius and/or Sonata Arctica fan should give this band a listen.
Re: Speechless about this band
is this the same syu that appeared on young guitar magazine dueling with jani ?

Re: Speechless about this band
For me Galneryus' third album, Beyond the End of Despair... was the highest point of band's discography and quite possibly my favourite album ever.
Shriek of Vengeance
Point of No Return
After that their every album has been a rollercoaster ride of meh and awesome songs.
Last two albums... are ok. The latest I would even call a very good one. Something special is still missing, but they manage to achieve some high and creative points while at times sounding a little generic and not that great. I liked the old singer Yama-B a lot more than the current one - don't really know why. Maybe it was the better prononciation of english and rougher voice. Or maybe I just haven't gotten over the fact that my long time favourite band departed with their singer. New one's not that bad still.
Remains as one of my favourite bands, but the last albums have been a little dissapointing for me. They are not bad, especially the last one, but for now the third album is by far my favourite.

Re: Speechless about this band
If you like Galneryus, you should check out Concerto Moon, Versailles -Philharmonic Quintet-, and Dragon Guardian. Concerto Moon's music is a little bit "stale," but they have a few good songs (such as Alone in Paradise, From Father to Son, and Time to Die). Dragon Guardian is also a bit of a hit or miss, but the album "Destiny of the Sacred Kingdom" is pure power metal perfection, that would make Nobuo Uetmatsu, Syu, and Luca Turilli all proud, from the first track to the last track. As for Versailles, all I have to say is, listen to Aristocrat's Symphony. (There is more than one artist named "Versailles," so make sure to look for songs from the "correct" one! I have no idea what the "other" Versailles sounds like, since I have never listened to and never intend to listen to them, so I hold no responsibility whatsoever if your ears accidentally bleed!)
Re: Speechless about this band
I agree, when they are inspired it's almost godlike.
