Stratovarius Community

Good evening to all.

I just wanted to formally introduce myself. I am an Australian Stratovarius fan whom is new to them.

In saying that please excuse my lack of knowledge/understanding of the bands history, & the way the forum operates.

Im not here to make enemies & endeavour to be as nice & understanding of everyone here as possible.

If anyone cares to provide links in bringing me up to speed on Stratovarius history/events (that arent painfully obvious ), feel free to do so.

I look forward to many discussions on here with IMO, the worlds greatest musicians.

Welcome to the board (and the insanity)!

If you really need to know more on the band's history, the best place to get the most unbiased version of it would be Wikipedia, and then work your way from there. For reasons that will become obvious the more you spend time around here, some sides of the story are seen in different ways; so you'd be best to read up on the band's history from a source that has no personal investment in the parties involved. Then just draw your own conclusions about anything else you find out after that. This is the best advice I can give.

Just a heads up, this forum is overrun by people with varying degrees of mental instability and substance abuse. Don't take anything seriously. Be prepared for harsh language and crass humour, but since you're Australian I'll assume you're accustomed to that sort of thing.

Other than that you'll find people here are pretty funny and cool with a few exceptions. Band members occasionally drop in, and Jens exists as a sort of benevolent dictator/zookeeper.

As for the band's history, uh... it's been through some.... turbulent times, but things are great at the moment. There are certain sections of the forum I dare not read because I value the tattered remains of my sanity too much. Let's say some people like making it ugly! Read wiki, or journal articles, or the website.
