I'll be there

who's going as well? Food AND beer (and other beverages...) included!
My one and only band request would be Stratovarius

Jeeeeeeeens! Tell Jörg to do something about it

Interesting... but the band "roster" isn't announced. Bit of a gamble to buy the tickets without knowing who will be there, right?

This time I don't really care about the bands (except of Stratovarius of course

), feels more like a "normal" holiday with a musical extra
Sure I'd have loved to attend 70.000 this year because the lineup turned out to be absolutely amazing, but when I got to know that, it's been to late to book...
But you know, compared to the 70.000 tons costs summed up for coming from Germany (flying to Miami, staying there, having only three nights on the boat instead of seven, paying the beverages and whatnot), and considering that it's just plain easy for me to get to Hamburg - gotta spend five hours in a quite comfortable train, that's more relaxed that getting to the airport and flying 11 hours to the US - and even the transport to the harbor is included...
So all in all the FMC is quite a good offer for me, no matter if the bands are rather mediocre. If I'm not interested in one of them, I'm gonna spend some nice hours in the sauna or having a cocktail

Here are the first band announcements for the Full Metal Cruise:
One of the headliners will be In Extremo, chart-topping German medieval rockers and kick-ass live act. More headliners will be revealed soon.
Joining us on board will be greek melodic metallers Firewind with Ozzy guitarist Gus G., metal legends Gamma Ray, Punk‘n‘Roll heroes Betontod and, last but not least, Doro, undisputed queen of Metal.
Also on the bill: Mambo Kurt and German comedy shooting star Bembers. Showing their skills at workshops & clincs will be guitar god and Scorpions alumni Uli Jon Roth and drum legend Jörg Michael, formerly of Stratovarius.
Interest in the Full Metal Cruise is high, but there are some tickets left. So if you want to take part - hurry up!
Bands announced till now are meh... but I'm totally happy I'm going to see Jörg there :banana1::banana1::banana1::banana1::banana1:
Of course it would be even better if he'd bring his former band with him as well, that seems natural

I still have hopes!

Sure they're quite alright, but to me "pretty damn good" would require at least one of my favourite bands

But it's just the first announcements and there's a lot more to come, so I'm sure, in the end it's gonna be a good deal and a lot of fun after all.

How it was? Awesome it was, beyond words! One of the best holidays I ever had, such a lot of nice people, I felt great since the first second on board

Everyone was happy and relaxed, fans and bands, we had lots of beer and food and fun... couldn't be better! I saw Jörg live on stage four times, which was awesome, Jari five times, which was awesome as well, I gathered a great pic with both of them as well as with Flo Lange, I met Saskia from the tour again, I can say there's nothing to complain about

Felt so weird to leave the ship after that week and having to face "normal" people in their "normal" mood (you can guess what that means talking about Germans) again ^^
Bands were in great mood altogether, you could feel that they were having fun as well, saw some great shows! Maybye I enjoyed the shows by Sabaton, Devil's Train and Masterplan the most, but actually I saw every band at least once and enjoyed every single one of them
Strongly recommended, if they're gonna do this a second time, I'll be there again! Only thing they could improve would be to announce more in English for fans from foreign countries, but somehow it seemed the included beer made up for that

He had two additional workshops. Where he basically played Devil's Train and some coversongs, partly with Laki or the whole band. He also played some all-star jam, but I missed that one.
