so yeah, right now im on the airport waiting for my flight to santiago (chile)
ill be living there for a few months,
if there are any chilean or former chile visitors forumites over here to give me some tips about important stuff like
-were to eat cheap
-were to buy metal records (bargain prices

)
-were to buy clothes and stuff
-a good place to find good musicians
I dont remember any of the "usual suspects" to be chilean but if you happen to be , drop me a PM.
im stuck here for a few hours.

Well I left Chile when I was 12. I lived in Colina for my entire life there and I do know Santiago more or less if I remember right.
Anyway, Mall del Centro is the most busy place in Santiago in terms of visitors. Quite nice, honestly. Plaza de Armas is also great. Lots of attractions and artists perform there. Don't let the pigeons poo on you, though.

There is a bakery in town called La Selecta. They make really good bread and cakes. But if you need to go to the bathroom, make sure you have 100 pesos for toilet paper. Really.
And remember. You don't want to look like a tourist. Hide your camera/phone in your jacket and always be aware of your wallet. Don't take it out unless you really have to.
Also, say hi to my family for me.

Based on the lyrics of the Symfonia song 'Santiago', its a scary place and I worry for you my friend... :nervous:
Towers of sand fall in the end
Heaven was a lie
Arrows of hate tear down your heart
Love has been denied
WTF!!
Did those 4 events happen during the course of a typical day or are they isolated incidents? I demand details!

Dear A,
It is said that those events happened many years ago, when Mapocho river was the only place existing in that territory.

Primavera en el norte = alergias.
Otoño en el sur = sin alergias.
 Cual es el problema, oficial?

I liked you much more when you were installing sprinklers in Maryland, rather than strutting your green butt.

Stop stealing our jobs.
The sprinkler industry is practically
IMPOSSIBLE these days...
