Stratovarius Community

So, in my opinion, even Stratovarius aside, 2013 was a vast improvement over the last 2 years. Rather than take up space with my list in a post, I'm going to clickwhore and link my lists.

overall, I think the album of the year is Daft Punk ramdom access memories (yeah, there is life outside metal records) there are so many reasons for picking this album above anything else that I had to spend too much time writing it and Im not in the mood to do that.

metal wise I thinking, Coheed and cambria maybe, helloween was a good one, buckcherry had a decent one.

but the most awesome of all was Avantasia of course!

there is also a cool album called nemesis

big disapointments? bowie, clapton, big names , lame albums.

Probably have to go with Nemesis and Ayreon - The Theory of Everything.

I don't know if that post is a reaction to mine, but my post is really serious. I just seem to like almost ALL kinds of music. :')

My favorite of the year was Almah - Unfold. Great melodic metal album!

As memory serves, this was a great recovery from a mediocre previous outing from Almah. Though I might be getting my bands mixed up.

Nemesis and Outbound by Keldian were only metal albums I've heard last year. Both really cool. And that list on Blackwindmetal seems to be consistent with my opinion)
In overall category the very best 2013 album for me was 5th Dimension by Momoiro Clover Z. But that's what we listen to here in Japan...

Yep. It's kind of a joke that got a little out of hand. Got drunk with some friends and ordered tickets for their concert in Amsterdam. So I thought the least I could do is try and get to know the songs. And I kinda got addicted to this album.
