Kamelot - Haven
Well this is coming out in a few days and let me tell you it rocks!
Anyone else excited for this?
"The 'Haven' album has an undertone of a world going insane," says KAMELOT guitarist Thomas Youngblood.
"There is a gray cloud that is forming over our world. We are here to find that silver lining with an album that is both dark and melancholy yet uplifting and giving the listener a 'Haven' in a world gone mad.
"We are really proud of the song elements and diversity on 'Haven'."
Adds vocalist Tommy Karevik: "The songs run the gamut from dark and melancholy to uplifting and melodic elements."
KAMELOT keyboardist Oliver Palotai states: "'Haven' has an aggressive edge to it that is the representation of the band as The Revolutionary Change in the storyline."

Re: Kamelot - Haven
To be honest I stopped listening after Roy left. I hope this album brings me back, for sure.
Re: Kamelot - Haven
Hmmm. Roy left me with a strange feeling in Poetry For The Poisoned and in subsequent live performances. He couldn't do it anymore and didn't want it anymore.
I really liked Silverthorn but it wasn't really written together with Tommy. This album is really written for his voice.
Give it a chance with an open mind. It is really great.

Yes, I waiting this album, Veil Of Elysium and Insomnia - amazing songs. Kamelot is one of my favourite bands and I like Tommy as much as Roy, they both are wonderful and talented singers.

Kamelot is my favorite band with Stratovarius, but this is their worst album.

Strongly disagree. Although, I think Poetry and Ghost Opera are their two best albums by a country mile, so I'm a little different from the typical Kamelot fan.RichardRG wrote:Kamelot is my favorite band with Stratovarius, but this is their worst album.
As far as post-Black Halo albums are concerned I still think Silverthorn is a massive disappointment with very, very little (if any) redeeming qualities to it, but Haven is a wonderful return to form. Love that it sounds more polished and not so bloated and full of itself like Silverthorn did.
