I'm here (actually, I'm always here), but I've been lurking from the shadows for a couple days. I just haven't had much to say. I don't really enjoy watching movies or TV shows; I play video games instead.

I’ve got a huge complete collection of n64 games to try out now. (Roms) When I’m sober tomorrow. =P

Children of boredom.

Say what video games you’re playing like it’s a status on zuckerbook. “Zenith is playing pocket pool with flavio.”

Some of those games I listed are guaranteed not to work properly in an emulator. :-( I use a 64 drive to play my N64 games now. http://64drive.retroactive.be/

I used to actually buy old console games on Ebay for ridiculously inflated prices. :x Then I said, "Enough of this price gouging crap! I'm not going to be a sucker anymore." I play games on emulators now. Yeah, now I don't have to spend upwards of $800 to be able to play Gimmick! on the NES.

Screw that noise... Seriously, look at this crap:

You'd see "Zenith is playing Mega Man 3." Or some other Mega Man game every few hours. They only take about 30 minutes to beat, so they're fun to quickly run though.

Damn, bud. Maybe an everdrive would interest you? Cartridge with an sd card to load games on!

The emulator for 64 I used was project 64. Did you ever see the 64 controllers for pc to play with emulators? Of course they have the adapters I’m pretty sure for the original controllers for usb. I have one for ps1 for an old controller from 1998.

A lot of times I don’t have the same level of patience as I did long ago and only play very brief and stream to twitch.

Yeah, that's what the 64 drive lets you do. :) Maybe the everdrive and the 64 drive are the same, or a similar, thing?

Yeah, I'm aware of adapters and usb game controllers, but I've never used any. I'm crazy and use a keyboard for everything. Actually, I think platformers and sidescrollers are far easier to control with a keyboard; it's more ergonomic.

I use WASD for movement and the numpad keys for buttons (NES mapping: 4 for B button, 5 for A button, 1 for Select, 2 for Start).

For 3D games which intend for you to use an analog stick, keyboard layout is a bit imprecise.

Okay, hear me out. When you use a keyboard layout, you have your fingers over the "buttons" the whole time, instead of just one thumb for multiple buttons on a controller. It's the same for directional movement. With WASD, I tend to have my fingers over WAD the whole time, and switch from W to S if I need to move down or duck or slide or whatever. I guess you can technically play with a controller overhand, but I've never tried to do that.

Interesting. Everytime I was stuck with using a keyboard it only made me suck worse in the game. VR games look neat. That thing that interested me the most is that one called google tilt brush. Getting creative and drawing whatever virtually.

Seems like we spammed the shit out of everything.

Type out in text (without video) your most memorable game moment.

It’s got to be for me discovering the warp whistles in sm3. Ah, memories.

A big stand out moment for me was battling the first boss (Gohma) in The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker. I was probably 8 years old at the time, but I couldn't figure out how to beat him. In retrospect, I was a really mushed brain idiot. Children pay no attention to detail, so my tears of anguish were well deserved.

When I stopped being stupid and actually figured out that you could grapple onto Valoo's tail, I was about as elated as a kid could be. I remember talking to my friends about it, and they also apparently had trouble figuring out how to damage him. As an adult, it is painfully obvious how to proceed in that fight. It's embarassing that it took me a number of days to figure that fight out back then.

I never tried that game as far as I remember.

Did you play any of the newer ones on wii and switch, whatever?

Zelda was never a favorite of mine. It’s a classic, I know!!

Back as a kid all I wanted to do was mash buttons or smash goombas. My brain is wired the same now.
