This is new kind of "now playing/how do you feel today" topic. It goes like this - you see a movie, you tell us whether it was good, bad or so bad that it was good. Please post your opinion along with name of the movie.
I'll start this.
Ed Wood - great movie directed by Tim Burton with Johnny Depp, Sarah Jessica Parker, Martin Landau and some other good actors. It tells about the worst hollywood director ever - Ed Wood, and people who surrounded him. The movie is in black-and-white and it looks like smth that was made in 50s'. The movie is both tragic and funny, very well written scenario, great acting (especially from Johnny Depp and Martin landau who received an Oscar for his portrail of old Bela Lugosi). Recommended for all those who like good movies and not just computer generated cartoons.
The Core - a disaster movie of surprisingly good quality. There is still not much sense there, the movie is full of technobabble, mostly of physical type, which made me and couple of my friends laugh very loud. Film has many good CGI, couple of nessesary disaster scenes, and it's not as boring as most of disaster movies. Minuses - it's extremely predictable, one can figure out who will die and who will stay alive in app. 15 minutes from the start of the movie. It also has some really cheesy and obsolete scenes. Overall - pretty good movie to spend couple of hours, if you want a light entertainment.

Tuxedo - I was recomended to this film by my friend telling me it's the best one with Jackie Chan. Well, after seeing it, I think it's the worst one. Incredibly stupid plot (about a supreme uniform). Not that many show-offs from JC and it's only funny because it's so damn stupid. As I like JC film I still enjoyed it somehow, yet not recomended.
Full Metal Jacket - Now this is a masterpiece. As I don't like Vietnam/war movies, this one was great. Not another (well it's from 87), mega production with USA flag hanging everywhere, but a nice, well made rather pacyfistic vision of Vietnam war. First half showing training of marines, inhumanating (?) them to war machines. And second part, more documentary, showing entir war on back and front. A very good visions from Stanley Kubrick. No stupid dialogues, no false invincible heroes and no unreal fights. There is a moment somewhere in the middle that film seems to miss a plot a little, but that's due to it's slightly documentary character.
Btw. There is a scene, when Pyle, before comming suicide says "I am in the world of shit". This sentence, spoke by Pyle (hehe) is used in Sentenced's intrumental song "Golden Stream Of Lapland".
La Haine - Quite interesting French film, about hate and anger, between, young people and police. Not the first film made about it, but as it's not american I found it closer to what I see on streets sometimes. Basically the action takes place during some riots. I have no idea if it's somehow based on what really happend. The very end was rather predictable, and whole vision is nothing new.

Gattaca - Wonderful movie about a near future where your status in society is determined by your genes and a guy (Ethan Hawke) with bad genes who fakes his way to his dreamjob...very fascinating.
13th Floor - A thriller about some scientist who have created a computersimulation of 30s Los Angeles. Somewhat similar to The Matrix when it comes to the plot, but I think this one was released before The Matrix...I quite liked it, although I suspect it would've felt fresher, had I seen it before The Matrix (that was the third time I mentioned that movie's name in this post, in case anyone wondered...)

LOLITA - the version directed by Kubrick.
Very good movie IMO.
It makes me realize that most of the 50's-60's-70's movies (and even 30's + 40's) are much better than all the modern crap movies ala Matrix or Lord Of The Rings, who are much a demonstration of visual effects that what real cinema is meant to be....Anyway

Another couple of movies:
Nurse Betty - kinda dark comedy about a woman who witnesses killing of her husband and going insane - she thinks that she's a character in some soap opera. Then she goes to LA to seek for her "beloved", who is other character in this soap opera.
Plan 9 From Outer Space - I downloaded it after I saw Ed Wood, just to see real Ed Wood movie. It is so bad that it's hillarious!!! Everyone should watch it!!! And it's much better than new Matrix and some of nowadays Hollywood disaster movies - at least it's funny.

Bruce Almighty - new movie with Jim Carrey, typical Jim Carrey comedy about guy who complained to God too much and God gave him his powers just to prove that being God isn't that easy. First half is funny, second not much.

I felt the same aawy about Bruce Almighty, Shurik.
Cradle of Fear - English Indy Horror flick "starring" Dani Filth and a few other members of Cradle of Filth. Had a few decent scenes of gore, although most of the time the blood/wounds looked too cheesy. A couple hot chicks too... but I think the only truly cool parts were the ending of "The Sick Room" segment and when Dani Filth gets the top of his head blown clean off!
Hulk - Good flick, quite entertaining. They could have cut out a good half hour of the movie though, there's a few scenes that don't really have a point of being in there.
T2 - Watched it again, it rulz of course!

Ah one week ago I´ve seen "How to loose a guy in 10 days".. at first I thought its just one of those love stories with a bit of fun in it.. there are around thousands movies of that kind but I must admit, I really liked it.. I had to laugh often and I was even nearly crying at the end.. so.. I would recommend that, too

I'm going to see LOTR: Fellowship Of The Ring with hillarious russian translation - someone translated the movie using jokes, russian folklore and just about everything that came along. Soundtrack has Deep Purple's Smoke On The Water, Rammstein's Sonne and other such things. I'll write my impressions if I'll survive this
