Countdown to Extinction, by Megadeth is a close second, IMO.

The three best are Visions & Episode by strato, and Enthrone Darkness Triumphant by Dimmu Borgir

The very best metal album ever to me is MASTER OF PUPPETS. Only because it's the one which could mix all the best elements of metal, everything anyone of us would like to hear in any album of this style.

avantasia is the album that means the most to me.. it was the first metalalbum i liked (although i'd liked metal for quite some time, but just some songs here and there, black diamond being the first metalsong )

and i've never been so obsessed over an album ever since or before..
